Default Some people! (Rant)

I feel like I've been punched in my oversized gut. I've been doing major spring cleaning all day in my oversized sweats and on yet another trip to the dumpster helped a lady who lives in our building into our building because her hands were full of bags. What does she say? "Thank you oh and are you the one in our building that just had a baby?" Now I know I am in sweats that are baggy and I know two ladies in our eight condo walk up building just had babies but I've been looking at pictures all day from 5-8 years ago where I was beautiful and skinny and to hear those words...lets just say I'm feeling pretty low and crying isn't exactly helping the spring cleaning mood. Who says that to someone else?!? I feel like crap.

You may be looking at this from a personal angle. It may be that the lady was just putting you into an age range that seemed more likely to have had a babu and it had nothing to do with the way you looked to her. Maybe you projected your own low feelings and assumed she meant more than she did? I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks, I think I did take it too personally. I think it was the combination of looking at all those old pictures today during my spring cleaning and looking at a bunch of old clothes that I used to fit into that were sitting in bags and boxes in my closet collecting dust. Add in the fact that I *am* big enough to have had a child in the last few months and it sort of led to me feeling sorry for myself. Sorry for the rant...at least I channeled it into something productive after my pity party and went out for a long walk.

one guy at work asked me how far along i was once... not only was i pissed because he assumed i was pregnant (ahem, not wearing THOSE clothes ever again) but because he never again asked about my baby

i'm sure you dont look pregnant, besides... she's old and blind!
