so yay, just got engaged on saturday and set the date for 11/20/10. i'm putting so much pressure on myself to get to goal before then. its not for other people really, but for me. these pictures could haunt me for the rest of my life.
Congratulations!!!! My wedding is 7/24/2010 and I'm definitely starting to feel the pressure to reach my goal before then. You're so close already though that it shouldn't be a problem
Congratulations, that is so exciting! Don’t put too much pressure on yourself. Your day will be beautiful and wonderful regardless on the number on the scale. I know you want to look and feel your best and you have plenty of time to get there!
Congrats, girl! It looks as though you have already come so far! Your goal seems to be a solid one with plenty of time, I am sure you will make it. I, myself, am just now getting back into the weight range I was at my wedding 3 years ago. I am sort of angry at myself for not being more motivated then to reach my true goal. I can tell you from experience, though, I was not even worried about my weight on the big day. You will have so much fun and the day will fly by. Don't stress yourself too much...you've got plenty to do between now and November! Good luck!
P.S. - I'd also love to hear a good proposal story!
Congratulations!
I think you'll make it to goal, and if not, so what! It'll be such an amazing day for you it won't matter what you weight! You'll look beautiful no matter what!
I'm getting married next month. . I got engaged a year and a half ago and didn't start trying to lose weight right away. Not until a year before our set date. I was planning for october 2010, and kept wanting to change my date to farther away so I could lose the weight. Then finally it occured to me that I'm letting my weight interfere with getting married?! No way! So we decided to bump it up instead!
I think you have plenty of time to get to your goal weight -- just be careful about dress sizing and making sure you don't lose too much after your final alterations!
If you think you're going to shrink significantly, there are certain styles of dress that will handle the alterations better. I bought my dress at a size 18W, and married at a size 8-10, so I know of what I speak! The alterations are SO. MUCH. FUN...all that fabric you don't need to cover you!
Congratulations! Enjoy this time, keep your cool, and remember the big picture (it's so easy to get caught up in crazy details and things you can't control and lose sight of what this is all about).
