  • thanks to all you guys! I know he likes me, but I have a crush on someone else! (isn't that the way this always works?)

as for my image i don't think im attractive and it is hard when someone tells me im pretty or not fat. (like my doctor who told me i hide my weight well. NOT a compliment!)

but thanls for all that. It made me see it wasn't as horrible as i thought it was!
  • i'd take that as a compliment, i don't think he meant any harm by that.
  • I've been told that before too... not sure what it means... But honey, don't sell yourself short!

If he thinks you're hot he thinks you're hot ... you've gotta believe it too, because it's true! Don't ever ever ever ever take a compliment as an opportunity to put yourself down!
  • Why you would say you're FAT, after someone gave you a nice complement is beyond me. Of course he had to retract and agree with you in some way. Please, dont put yourself down.
  • Quote: Yeah, it's a compliment, and also sort of a joke to make the situation less nerve-wracking. It's hard to continue an interaction after a girl calls herself fat.
Yep. I think it is hard for a guy to respond when a girl questions her body size. Poor guys. It's such sensitive territory. However, I get the sense he genuinely meant it in a positive way .
  • Basically like the other women said, it's a good thing.

From a man it means, you've got a little meat on you, but you're sexy with it!
  • i was once told by a guy that i was "small and round like a pound" , so I'd definitely take pleasantly plump as a compliment
