Default Tea?

Does anyone drink tea for the antioxidants and health values? I am looking into buying some different teas for the health benefits. I would like to start to drink it as a snack and in the morning.

Thoughts? and TIA

Tea is good. I drank some Green Tea without sugar/milk and it wasn't bad at all. Drink it but eat some peanuts or almonds with it.

I drink tea all the time. Because I like it and it has minimal calories and it's warm

Different teas give you different benifits, I prefer black or fruity herbal teas. Not a huge fan of green tea. I drink it with splenda and a splash of milk!

Be careful of the caffien content in black teas if you're sensitive to it.

I love tea! I drink at least 3 cups a day of herbal teas. I find them to be a great alternative to snacking and they fill you up if you have them after your meals. I've experimented with green tea different flavours, oolong, and Chai teas with different flavours. My favourite is chocolate caramel Chai.
Iwould deffinate try experimenting with different flavours, I know twinnings does a sample pack with lots of different flavours. I'd also recommend varying the flavours as much as you can.

Honestly, I'd check out Teavana if you have one near you. They make delicious teas and blends and have almost every tea under the sun. Their staff is really helpful and pleasant as well. The first time I went in they made a chai blend and it was delicious.

I'm going to check them out since I'm finally getting into tea

I am TEA OBSESSED. I buy from the Republic of Tea. They have fabulous teas. Green teas provide the most health benefits, especially in the form of antioxidants. I actually drink tea straight with no milk or sugar substitute. I highly recommend the Acai Green Tea - their different fruit blends are delicious! There is some evidence that consistent green tea consumption supports weight loss as well. It's win-win all around!

I drink alot of tea. My favorite is English Breakfast with a half a splenda and a splash of FF milk. so good! I also drink a variety of herbal teas. Unfortunately i live outside of America and there aren't as many options as there were back home. I used to go to specialty tea shops and get all sorts of different loose leave tea. MMMM!

I drink 1 liter green tea everyday.. well, most of the days. My friend (who lost 50 lbs) swear about its metabolism booster properties, but I drink it so I don't get bored drinking water.

I drink tea all the time. If you think tea is alright, I am sure there is a tea out there that you will find delicious. Green & white tea are said to have the most health benefits, but all types have some. Be careful if you add sugar or cream as this might be a diet buster. I enjoy a plain tea with something already somewhat sweet such as fruit, breakfast items, or snacks.

Love tea for the same reasons -- warm and low cal. Although I'm from the south and I LOVE sweet tea, but I've cut that out of my diet for obvious reasons. I like Snapple's Diet Peach tea; if I'm out and about I pick one up at the gas station.

Also - green tea is probably one of the best as far as antioxidants go. I tried Starbucks green iced tea the other day and it wasn't bad. I put a little Splenda in it and it was good.

And Garstar - thanks for the black tea suggestion. Maybe this will be my alternative to coffee now that I'm back in school!

Tea is fantastic!
I like cold green or white tea inthe summertime, I drink Mint tea year round, same thing with chai. I also like a good black tea with a small square of really dark chocolate when I need a little pick me up around the three o'clock hour at work!

I love tea as well I was brought up on it, it is STILL an ingrained ritual to make a pot of tea at 8:30pm for my supper lol, my parents used to do this everynight while I was growing up.

I drink A LOT of tea - anywhere from 4-8 cups, sometimes more in winter. I have it without sugar but with a little milk.

Not a huge fan of green tea. I find the flavour a little too weak and the texture a little too thin for myself. To me its more like drinking lukewarm water lol, but everyone is different. My mum now drinks it like its going out of fashion after decades as a black tea fan.

There is a really good tea house nearby to where I live which sells hundreds of varieties of teas...slowly making my way through them all

...and after saying I dont like green tea I DID find one I do. Green tea and coconut...but I put a little milk in it. It turned this bright green colour lol, looked so cool! :P

My favourites are your basic blacks, so english or irish breakfast, but I enjoy chai (especially vanilla with honey), I have a flavour called "Cherry Ripe" which is a black tea and yes, it tastes like cherry ripe, and another called Mint Slice... again a black tea base which tastes like the mint slice biscuits.

Earl Grey is also great, slightly sweeter on its own, lemon and ginger infused black tea... really the list is endless.

Oh... did I mention I love tea? :P

I love peppermint tea. I don't know if there are any health benefits like antioxidants, but it tastes good, has virtually zero calories, and fills me up! I have it plain, without any sugar or milk. I also drink orange pekoe when I need a change, no sugar or milk.

Maybe I should look up if peppermint tea has any benefits...

I love oolong tea. It has a really interesting flavor to it that you kind of have to get used to, though.
