My name is Beth and I am a 28 year old Momma that NEEDS to lose some weight! I've dealt with some weight issues over the past several years. I was always very slim, hovering between 128 and 138 (with zero effort), until 2005, when I had a bit of an issue with drinking after my father's death. I also developed a very poor diet. I ballooned up to the 170 range by 2007 (when I got married), and by early 2008 hit the upper 190s. I had my first child in 2008 and have had a **** of a time trying to kick the weight. I got down to 194 while breastfeeding, but have now bounced up to 214.
I just feel really gross about myself, and I need to make a significant change, immediately. Unfortunately, I work full time (6:45 to 3:30), and my son is in daycare. My husband is an accountant who is now entering tax season and does not get home until 8pm or after...so I really have no help at night. I do not want to get into the gym thing because it truly would not be fair to my son to be in daycare every waking moment of his day. Regardless, I've equipt myself with weights, an exercise ball, videos, and Wii Active. I am ready to do the best that I can at home, as much as my little guy lets me. I have an iPhone and found an AWESOME free app called "Lose It!" which monitors my caloric intake...even accounting for all different types exercise. (It has EVERYTHING - I highly recommend checking it out!!) I am currently on a 1,495 calorie/day plan, which goes just fine at work...but is a little more difficult at home. I am having a hard time finding healthy foods that are *filling*, which I am sure is not a new issue for anyone here! In any case, my husband is naturally thin and can eat a bag of Doritos and a case of Mountain Dew and likely lose a pound thereafter. So..it's hard to find support on the homefront...especially when he refuses to eat vegetables or anything that isn't drenched in cheese and every form of fat known to man. I am looking for some motivation, support...maybe even join a group with a collective goal...but I have no idea as to where to start on here. I would truly appreciate some guidance and I would love to chat with anyone interested!
Thanks!!
Beth

) or take 15 mins before you pick up your son, 15 mins if hes taking a nap, 15 mins after he goes to bed...it'll add up.

Today I got him to do a lot of the moves that I was doing, and it was fun - ended up getting a 40 minute workout! Unfortunately, it's the dead of winter here, so outside/park time is out of the question (we're supposed to get 10 inches tonight - YUCK). I make due with what I can. Cannot WAIT for summer.
