Default Torso?!? how to shrink?

ok...so i've lost a good 15 lbs and ppl say that they can see it in my face, my arms and legs/thighs...but my torso is still huge (from stomach to breast and back)....what do i do with these areas?? Treadmill is more of my thing, but any suggestions anyone gives are greatly appreciated. Should I just continue to do as is being done and wait for the rest of my body to catch up???

Pretty much. Doing one exercise or another may help you tone different areas but there is nothing you can do to choose where you lose the weight from. Just keep losing and it will come off! Some say you lose in the opposite direction of how you gained, this has been pretty true for me. I never had an a** until I reached my highest weight and it was the first thing to go!

Lol well that sounds pretty accurate then because its where i last gained that i already lost...its just a little discouraging because you cant see your changes although they are slowly happening!

Running will be good for you if your knees arent bad to shed that extra weight around your belly. When you do a lot of crunches your just building muscle underneath the fat but not necessary burning the fat. You need to do some good cardio to get that off first then build. I do HIIT when I work out on my treadmill because I dont have a TV in that room and I cant run long miles in there. So I sprint one min and walk the next. Good luck to ya....

Zumba!!! A combo of latin dance/aerobics.which of course is cardio. I've heard of girls saying they find it does wonders for their mid section.

Cardio will eventually allow your entire body to catch up, but unfortunately, you probably will lose unevenly. Like others have said, jogging/running is the best way to accomplish this.

Although tummy exercises such as crunches probably won't show a huge difference at first, it's definitely something you should add to your routine. It will start working and toning your muscles underneath the fat, which will strengthen your core and do wonders for your body in general. Once the cardio does its wonders and couples with the strength training to burn the fat, you'll see that muscle toning will give your tummy the look you want as well.

Hope that helps!

I second the suggestion for Zumba. It works everything, but definitely slims the torso.

yea unfortunately we can't choose where we loose our fat from.

So cardio cardio cardio- you'll eventually loose it around the torso.
