8 months!

  • It has now been officially over 8 months since I started my new healthy lifestyle! (March 23--). I have now lost a total of 54 pounds officially, but when I've stepped on the scale lately it's been reading 156 more often than not, so I think I've lost over 55 pounds now! I have just a little more than 10 pounds to go now, but these last 10 pounds have been a LOT slower than the rest was, so I'm sure my last 10 will be equally slow. But it's exciting to know I've come so far! I've never weighed less than 160 before in my whole LIFE (after I hit my current height, I mean). It's kind of amazing to me still. Anyone else hit a significant day lately?
  • Congrats Megwini! My Day of Reckoning was actually really close to yours, on March 21, when I had a health scare and started losing weight. I wasn't really sure what I weighed then, but at my annual physical last month I took a peak at my last recorded weight from my doc's visit March 21, and fully clothed it was 174. I had let it creep back up from getting down to 165 the previous summer. Yesterday I weighed in at 130.5, so that's over 40lbs since then. I have not been this weight since sophomore year of high school. Yay milestones!!!!

ETA: and yeah the last 10lbs were tough, but finding the motivation was easy-- I felt so good about myself and loved the feeling of working out and eating right Keep it up chica, you are doing amazing!
  • hey you guys started right around my birthday, the 22nd! Its such a happy time of year My last ten pounds are being a pain in the butt butthe journey is more enjoyable so i guess its a trade off
  • I started on March 23, too! I'm so close to being under 200 lbs. This is the thinnest I've been in 10 years.
  • Megwini, you are amazing and beautiful! My last ten was also very hard. I am trying to lose ten that I put on in the past couple months from my vacation that I seemed to inherit all my bad habits from again. My significant day would have to be yesterday because I am now back in the WW saddle.
  • *DANCES ALONG WITH YOU* I have nothing to contribute since I'm still (slowly but surely) moving along on my journey, but I'm always so excited to see someone reaching their goals because it makes me feel that it's definitely possible and my dreams aren't that "fanciful". CONGRATS and I can't wait to read your "at goal" thread someday soon. ^^
