Default Haven't been here for a while

Hey guys,
haven't been here for a while.
I've been doing ok....actually, not so well. I feel like I'm slipping and I had a 3 day sugar binge! (Halloween of course) with that a test I had to study for, and while I studied I snacked on all the halloween candy. It wasn't fun and I gained freako 2 lbs. Anyway, that's over and done with. In the words of Scarlett O' Hara, "Tomorrow is another day!" lol

Anyway, so just yesterday when I was sitting and feeling fat (this happens a lot) I set a goal for myself because I was sick and tired of being sick and tired and have been doing this since 05! slipping and sliding and slipping and sliding using school and work as an excuse but enough's enough so I set the ultimate goal.

I told myself I'm going to lose 10 lbs by my 21st birthday
which is on January 4.
If I work my buttttttttt off, (which I assure you, I will) do you find this is possible>?

Also, I know this question has been asked probably 248348344349 times but is it better to work out in the morning or night? does it matter? since you are burning calories either way or what?

Thanks! and I hope you all have been doing great.
Good luck!

I think studies have shown that morning work outs are "better" - it kick starts your metabolism and all that, but really, its whatever works best for YOU. I prefer morning work outs - it wakes me up, I just feel better throughout the day, and if I work out at night it wakes me up and I have issues sleeping - but like I said, different for each person.

Good luck You can do this!!

Everyone is different with working out. I do believe that studies have shown morning exercise is better, but I am *not* a morning person. I tried to wake up to go exercise, and I'd end up coming home and sleeping some more. Right now I work out at 9pm every night, and I get so tired that I literally pass out at around midnight. This is actually really good for me because I've been having trouble sleeping for the last few months and exercising at night has put me back on a normal sleeping schedule. Again, it's definitely different for each person!!

Glad that you're back!

I know what you mean by putting it all off due to studies. That's what I'm struggling with all the time. It's so hard to fit it all in!

For me, morning workouts are fine if and only if I get like 8 hours of sleep, which usually means going to bed really early since I would have to get up at like 5:30 to have time to get ready before class or work. I prefer the evening. I even use my headlamp for night time jogging so I don't have to worry about tripping and falling. I've read a couple things about working out in the morning being better for you, but I doubt its better if you cut out on sleep to get up earlier. Heh.

well, welcome back! And you know everyone has their moments that they slip.

and I workout whenever I can fit it in really. I figure, as long as Im working out, I don't think there is anything wrong if its all over the place. lol. usually at night though, after work.

Hey, at least you didn't gain the 1.5lbs I gained from ONE night of Halloween binging!!!

As for the working out.... I'd say whatever works best for you. If you work out in the morning, or at least your morning because for some people like me night is their morning (I work midnights), it tends to start your day off better and with more energy.

I think 10 lbs. in that amount of time is definitely do-able. Just keep remembering your goal and sticking with it! You can do it for sure!!!
