Default I'm starting to leave food on my plate.

I've been noticing for the past few weeks that I'm leaving food on my plate. That is something I've never done in my life. I always cleaned my plate even if I was stuffed. I always had to eat the last bite. But now I find myself stopping to eat and when I got o put my plate in the sink I have food left.

I think I'm finally starting to get a hold on my compulsive eating habits

Hey well done! I know what you mean about eating every last bite, I too used to do that because I felt like I was wasting food that I'd just spent time making.

I think after a while you just get used to realising when you're full, so it just becomes easier

Keep up the good work!!

Way to go. Are you doing anything differently, like not eating in front of the tv, eating slower, etc?

This is something that I definately struggle with. Some days I stop when I'm full other days I don't; I wish I could be consistent.

Good for you! Stop when I'm full is something that takes constant effort for me - like I always have to be actively trying to notice when I'm feeling full, otherwise, I'll just keep eating too.

Congrats! This is something that I defiently struggle with. I am not to the point where I have gotten over it yet though, hopefully I will someday soon. It's the same type of thing I do with leftovers in the fridge. If I bring home take out from a restaurant I feel like I have to eat what is leftover. I feel like somehow I am being wasteful if I don't finish everything.... although in actuality I am being more wasteful eating it all in the first place Congrats again!

Aww, that's great!

I personally have this thing where I just can't let food go to waste or else I'll feel really bad and guilty about, so now I take smaller portions, or if I eat out, I'll save the rest to take home and eat later or give it to a friend as a treat, haha.

WHOO!!! Congrats. That's awesome. We all have to overcome mom telling us that there are kids in 3rd world countries who would gladly take the rest of our dinner and guilt trip us into eating EVERYTHING on our plates. Fight the power! Lol.
