Default NSV: I Adore Clothing...

At the moment at least! I ordered some clothes online thinking I'd be safe ordering them a bit small so I'd lose into them, and this morning I got them in the mail. Not only did everything fit, but it looked good!

This was an extra surprise as I had a bad weekend of way too much fun I'm really glad I didn't say "screw it" when I messed up a bit. In retrospect it wasn't at all that bad, but at the time, I felt like I was going to gain like crazy. Sometimes I love being wrong!

So I'm doing a happy dance in awesome new clothes, excited for the school year and generally content with the world.

In an effort to share my positive vibes, what were your best NSVs of the summer so far?

That's so great EmilySue

I was shopping yesterday, when low and behold I saw some beautiful pea coats for winter. I'd been having a hard time lately with weight and everything. So I reached for an XL, hoping it would possibly fit! Well, it turned out to be too big!!! I mean, I thought it looked beautiful still but then decided to try on the L, and IT FIT!
I LOVED the shape it gave my body.

It was the first time I ever teared up out of joy, while shopping for clothes! It felt GREAT!!!

Thats great! I recently bought clothes, but not for the same reason as you. You see, I have gained a bunch of weight this year and I find that when I wear clothes that fit, even if I have to buy a bigger size, I feel better about myself. I'm going to treat myself to new clothes once I reach my 10% goal.

LOVE the peacoat. I bought FOUR last year! LOVE THEM, LOVE THEM. It's a great way to look put together fast.

Thanks!

beautifulone- Congrats! I love my peacoat, I can't afford to get a lot of clothes, so it's great to have a coat that goes with everything. The sweet surprise of being a smaller size/fitting into something you wouldn't have expected feels amazing... like finding a $20 bill in your pocket you didn't know you had

shasha17a- I totally feel the same way, I just have clothes on standby all the time lol. I can't stand to get rid of cute clothes, so I have all kinds of sizes ready for any loss. Hope you have a fun shopping spree when you reach 10%!

Mickeypnd- Urban Outfitters, normally their stuff is way too expensive, but they had a great sale so I figured, why not? They only have XS-L, which would normally be a really irritating 00-12ish, but what I got fit anyway. I generally wear a 14-16, with the 16 being pretty loose.

Online I recommend American Eagle, if you like their clothes. They have more sizes online and the size chart is pretty reliable. Both places make it pretty easy to return, AE you can even return right to the store.

I kind of tend toward preppy and indie clothing and those two are my favorites!
