I think the only way anyone around here knows to do that is changing your diet, excercising, and hoping that's one of the body parts that shrinks.

Good luck!

Overall weight loss is the only thing that will do it.

Overall weight loss. Cardio will help you lose all over, and if you want more definition in your hips you can do the side bends with weights, but I just stick to cardio and they're coming off.

That is such an...ironic phrase: "I hate love handles".

But alas...I hate them too!

I've learned to love love mine, because big or small, they are always there!! It is just a natural part of my body... I can't ever get skinny enough or them to go away completely, so I just accept them

Pfft. I have a short waist and horribly wiiiiide hips, so... my love handles are barely even just love handles... they're more like ginormous extrusions from my body. I remember when I got my hips in high school seeing a picture of me from behind and just thinking in horror, "JESUS, I look WIDE.... " I've always been sooooooo self conscious about people seeing me from behind, ever since then.

The only thing you can do is lose weight. And hopefully, that'll be one of the first places your body loses fat from. You can tell in my current before-afters from 173 to 153 that I've definitely lost weight from that area, hopefully your body's like mine. (Still rockin' some epic back fat tho. )

i started doing the standing abs video to work my obliques (those are the side abs right?...haha i'm clueless) and i noticed they really trimmed my waist down. i typically lose weight from my butt, but i think that working those muscles really helped me tone that area while losing overall weight, and shrunk my waist a bit. of course, now my hips haven't changed so my butt and hips are still huge, but i have more of an hourglass since i now have a waist. haha.

i agree with jahjah - running is the only thing for me that seems to target that area...plus, it's just awesome cardio overall, so that always helps too!
