Snacking between meals

I was wondering....I know you're supposed to have a small snack between meals...but I think I am overdoing it...

I usually have a serving of nuts between breakfast and lunch and then crackers and a fruit between lunch and dinner....I have also been eating a bowl of cereal at night around 8:00...

I think I know this is wrong...but I need to hear some reactions...thanks!;)

I guess it de[ends on what you are eatig for breafast lunch and dinner. But if those meals are sensible then those snacks don't seem bad. You may try and cut out the bowl of cereal at night and maybe try and space your dinner a little so you be hungry at night.

You said you were doing WW right? Is it fitting in your points plan? If yes, and you aren't starving during the day... then who cares! :P
Just make sure you eat your points... and also water, fruit, veggies, healthy oils and dairy! Balance is key!

Oh didn't realize you are doing WW. I am too. But I still try to keep my snacking down and focus it on the "healthy guidelines". Plus most times if you focus on the guidelines you don't have a lot of points left for BS or unnecessary snacking.

Personally, I don't think that sounds like you're really overdoing it, although obviously depends on what you're eating at mealtimes. If you're eating a snack because your body is telling you that it feels hungry and you need the food, I'd listen to it, just make sure you aren't eating snacks habitually (i.e. when you're not truly hungry/in need of energy).

Remember, the construct of "meals" and "snacks" is a completely artificial thing, one that us humans have essentially made up. The thing that is real, so to speak, is energy, and so long as you're not consuming more food than your body needs, you should be perfectly okay (whether that energy comes in the form of a snack or a meal).

I love cereal at night, it's so refreshing! But this is the only snack I'd say maybe isn't necessary. Unless you go to bed quite late and have an active evening, your body doesn't really need the energy from that bowl of cereal, a few hours before you sleep. If you're eating it because you're hungry, I'd consider making your evening meal a little bit more filling/satisfying.

This is completely just my opinion, and I'm afraid I don't know anything about WW really!
