  • Akacutie- My son's name is Cameron. I'll admit its hard to find time to work out with him and a full time job. I usually go to the gym at my apartments. Last week we got a wii fit and I've been doing that. It doesn't feel like workout,but I can definitely tell I'm working out the day after. I've been sore for the last week!! Hopefully that will help some since I don't have to leave the house and my son cheers me on while I'm doing it!!

    My name Ella and I currently live in New Mexico but I will be moving soon . I am currently a math instructor. I have 3 dogs who are my babies. I am working on my PhD, work full time and coach so I am really busy. I am also moving either to Denver or Portland at the end of this month (depending on wether I get the job I really want in Denver)


    I am currently sick and have been sick for most of February so my weight loss stalled this month but I am not going give myself any more excuses. I would love to be at goal by the end of this challenge but a more realistic goal would be to lose 10 pounds.

    I am going to work really hard to lose as much as I can to help make the mangos the biggest losers!!
  • How did day 2 go for everyone?

    I was very good food wise, yay! That's the hardest part for me. It was a super busy day so I didn't feel like shoving gym time in it too so I took the day off exercise. I don't even remember the last time I took a day off so I think it was a needed rest day. I'll definitely get a great workout in tomorrow though!

    I figure I should stop stalling and introduce myself. My name is Alana. I live Va and have all my life (23 years). I graduated last May with a degree in Spanish and am currently a marketing intern. While on my quest for permanent employment, I have free time to go to the gym. That is actually great since I love going. Well that is what I tell myself in order to get out the door. But once I am there, everything is fine. I think my biggest challenge is portion control and snacking more than anything else. So that is what I will be working on during this challenge.

    I don't think I have ever had a mango. Interesting.

    duinmiownthing- I am glad you found the page! I am glad your such a positive person, (me to btw) I think it helps! How long have you had llamas? How did you get into keeping them? Interesting....

    Calirep- Good luck getting those pre-reqs in quick! I know it has taken me 3 semesters cause I was doing it parttime will working fulltime.... I am now at school fulltime and working parttime... it is sooooo much better! Why is that you like to eat healthy?

    Krock- I have been interested in the Wii fit. My boyfriend has a Wii that I never use here in the apartment but it seemed like something to check out. I was also afraid it wouldn't be much of a work out.... Anymore thoughts on it ?? Yah or Nay?

    ella13- I hope you feel better soon! I know trying to lose weight when your sick is no fun at all! When do you hear what job you got? I will keep my fingers crossed for Denver for ya!

    Bikini- Yesterday was great for me plan wise. I ate the exact number of my points for the day and didn't dip in the the extras. I did an hour of cardio on the bike rode 21 miles and burned 330 calories...not as good as the elliptical but good still. I was sweating when I was done. (I love the bike... )

    Starmac- Welcome. Are you following a plan or calorie counting? I was just curious what tools you are using to help portion control and snacks. I bought two mangos on Sunday in honor of our team. I haven't eaten them yet, but I will let you know how they taste!

    Well Team- I have to get my snacks together for work, but once I get them I can post some more!

    I am at work now...

    So what does everyone have going on today? Are you busy or no? What do you plan to do today to help you be successful with this challenge?

    Me you ask? I have to work until 1 and I don't have to go to class until 5:00. I might do a load of laundry after work but depends on if I feel like going to the laundrymat or not. I am not busy today which is nice! Today so far I walked to work. I brought a healthy breakfast and snacks with me. I have a turkey sandwhich, strawberries, a light cheese stick and some roasted green peas for later.

  • Tracy- the exercises are kinda short so you need to do more reps but it is pretty good. I have to do cardio at the gym though. Those exercises don't really push me.
    Well I had a good day yesterday. I even went to the in laws and stayed OP. My father in law is horrible about trying to stuff me with unhealthy food.. Hope everyone has a good day today!!
  • Today will be a busy day. I work 9:45 - 7PM. I'll be coming home to make dinner, then around 10 I'll head to the gym for an hour.

    It's going to be day 23 OP/binge-free and I weighed myself this morning now that TOM has been gone for a few days and I'm at 214.1lbs!

    I am quite sick (just the flu) so I might be MIA for awhile. I hate being sick!! Hopefully it goes away soon so I can get back to the gym. Hope everyone is having a good day!
  • aka - i am starting to count calories and cut my portions in half. I usually start the day really well and then when it comes to dinner, something happens. I just need to keep reminding myself at dinner time to not overeat.

    Well me, I have had a slight gain due to TOM coming around,but I'm working hard to stay OP. Don't worry Mangos!! I will not disappoint!!!
  • I have TOM!!!!!! Starting to lighten up though! So we should be on target for Sunday's weigh in! Still shooting for 159!! Wish me luck!!!!!!!!!!!

    Krock- Great job staying OP at the in-laws! I know food pushers can be such a chore to deal with...

    Worm- Congrats on 23 day binge free- That is HUGE! Did you make it to the gym? I hate going to the gym at night(late). I do it sometimes but I don't think I could go at 10PM. You are a solider!

    Jleeson- I hope you feel better soon! Take care of yourself so you'll have a speedy recovery!

    Starmac13- How did dinner go last night? Were you able to stay on plan? It is funny because we are completely oppisite. I ten to over eat during the day and then not too hungry at night.

    Well, I just got home from work. I am tired, but today is a gym day... I will rest a bit and then drag myself to the gym. Here is a pic of me after the gym on Monday... See how happy I am after I finish... I need to keep thinking this so I can get excited about today's workout. :P

    I just made some yummy green beans with cinnamin on them ( i know it sounds a little weird but remember cin is not a sweet spice, people normally think it is because they put it with sugar).

    aka- i like to eat healthy b/c i have so much more energy when i do (thanks for helping me remember)

    i missed my 30DS yesterday so I am going make up for it today.

  • akacutie I didn't. My knees and elbows were killing me so bad. I really hate this weather. It will be 50 degrees then into the low 20s. I have really bad knees and elbows, and this messed up weather causes me to ache so badly.

    I'll be going today though. NO EXCUSES.
