If you have a Starbucks, you can ask for the sugar free syrup in a regular coffee. Ask for a triple shot and skim milk. You should be able to squeeze out of there for under 40 calories or so--depending on how much milk you take in your coffee.

ETA: I love the sugar-free syrup at Starbucks and it's a bargain at $7 a liter if you have a place to make your own coffee. I do not like Starbucks coffee whatsoever and can think of little that is bigger waste of money for us.

Coffee has 2-4 times more caffeine than tea (depending on how strong they are)... but that brings up a good point... santamonica, here's a list of the caffeine content in some common beverages, including name-brand sodas, in case you want to prioritize what you drink http://www.cnn.com/HEALTH/library/AN/01211.html

I don't like the "energy" drinks, which are often high in sugars, carbs and who knows what else. I prefer to go a NO CALORIE way and take Excedrin Migraine. It's got aspirin in it, which can help relieve tired muscles from working and working out and the much needed caffiene. Also, with energy drinks, they are cold, and go down easier than coffee.. you're more likely to get jittery.

Best wishes in whatever you decide!

I was a barista through college so I totally understand! Hot or iced skim lattes are good... and sometimes I will add a pump of SF vanilla. I only really like Starbucks for espresso drinks, not brewed coffee. Sometimes I just get a double espresso with SF syrup and splash a bit of milk into it (saves on calories and cost) at the mix-in station. If you like tea, black tea has more caffeine than green tea. As for brewed coffee- I used to put cream and sugar into it and now I just put a little splash of cream/milk. I've found some of the yummiest places to get some are Dunkin Donuts, Tim Horton's, and sometimes even McDonalds (but if you can't resist drive-thrus, don't do it!)

Oh! I also realized yesterday that One-A-Day Energy vitamins have caffeine in them. I personally don't like to take any meds with caffeine in them on a regular basis, but it's something to consider!

There isn't really ANYTHING that can replace getting enough sleep... buut anyway, I'm a senior too, I understand lol. Have you tried those 5hour energy drinks? They have the caffeine of one cup of coffee but have B vitamins (which are necessary for day to day energy apparently).
Quoted for truth. I'm a college senior and I work night shifts in addition to having classes at various times during the day. The 5hour energy drinks never give me any energy though, it really seems like these things affect everyone differently. And there is the crash factor with some of the erngy drinks, sometimes you're probably better off with less/no caffeine, especially with the sugary drinks.

I love that stuff, but I wish the raspberry ice kind had caffeine.

I like the energy drinks, but I don't allow myself to drink the ones with sugar in them, I really like the Full Throttle sugar free and the Rockstar nocarb in teh blue can (though that one is a bit acidy tasting, but it's the only energy drink that actually gives me energy. others i drink purely due to caffeine addiction).
