  • wow! that must be so tough...i loooove baked goods and its hard enough to not pick something up at the store, but to actually work in a bakery! i agree with packing healthy snacks because if i were to allow myself "just one," soon itd be just one a day...than just one every few hours and so forth. low-fat 100 calorie bags of popcorn are great snacks because they fill you up and also still give you that "junk food" satisfaction...good luck love!
  • There's no way I could handle it. I was transfered to a different office last year and my coworkers got fast food breakfast every morning. Well just that change made me gain 17lbs before I knew it. They cut that out now and are very helpful not tempting. Like everyone else said, I would just pack some healthy snacks to keep you on track. Good luck and congrats on the loss so far!!
  • Thanks everyone!! There is a lot of really great advice here!! I'm deff going to try the gum thing, so long as I don't get caught (we're not alloud to chew gum on the clock). And having my breakfast ready the night before is a good idea too, I'm going to try that tonight! Another thing I want to try is to bring my own snacks, but I don't usually take a break because I only work three days a week and I like to get as much time in as possible to help out my pay check! But I can sneak in a couple ten minute breaks. And VermontMom, "cake sandwiches" are my weakness!! esp if there is cream cheese icing involved! There are so many excuses, the strongest one being that if it doesn't get eaten it gets thrown away!! I'll let ou guys know how tomorrow goes!!

  • So I worked Monday, Wednesday, and Friday this week. Monday was not so good, there was an order for a platter of my favorite pastry we make and there were some extras... Wednesday was better though. I didn't prepare anything the night before or get up early enough to do anything in the morning, but I did not eat one thing I wasn't supposed to all day. Friday I got up early, ate breakfast, packed a snack, and didn't eat any bakery food!! woo hoo!! Now lets see if I can do it again this week... Thanks for your support everybody!!
