Scale

I know people have probably most likely asked this before but I just want your guys input...How often do you weigh yourself? I am OCD about it. I mean not like all day but I feel like I have to do it when I wake up. Sometimes even at night I want to go look and it's so hard not too. I try to only do it in the morning because I know that is your truest weight. At night your weight could have fluctuated, So what about you guys, do you weigh yourself daily, weekly, or monthly? I know I couldn't do it monthly. I think after this weekend, starting Monday I am going to start just doing it weekly do I quit obsessing over it.

I know this sounds CRAZY but I do not weigh myself. -EVER-

I see my personal trainer every so often and she measures me to see how many inches I have lost.

I don't weigh myself because I become too OCD about the number - but I am not going for a number...I am going for a lifestyle.

A lot of the girls on here weight once a week - same time, same day - right after they get up and go to the bathroom in the morning.

Oh god! Me too! Now I just weigh once in the morning so I know what I'm working with that day.

I weigh every single morning. Back when I first began weighing, I weighed three and four times a day! OMGoodness!

i weigh every day. it keeps me in check. i also measure once a week. there is a sense of accountability when i am laying here at night craving some chocolate then i remember i have to face that unforgiving scale in the morning. i know if i only weighed once a week i would think oh it's okay i can get back on track tomorrow or the next day.

leighish 01-10-2009 11:53 PM

every day. Sigh. sometimes 2 or 3 times just to see how it changes.

i am having this problem too. i was planning on starting to weigh only once a week; sundays for my biggest loser challenge. it's going to be hard, but the scale is causing a lot of stress so i think i need to go down to once a week. good luck girl!

every morning before I hop in the shower.

sometimes in the evening, though that's rare.

I used to be OCD about it, but I finally took my scale & my measuring tape & put them in the linen closet - out of sight, out of mind. I weigh & measure myself once a week. I like doing it that way. I look forward to Sunday mornings getting to see how I did that week.

I weigh myself every Sunday, but I've noticed lately that I am tempted to step on the scale every day. When I do that though, I'm not as happy with the number as when I do it once a week. I keep expecting it to go down 1-2 lbs everytime I get on it, like it has been on Sundays!

RN BSN 2009 01-11-2009 12:20 AM

once every two weeks!!

Koshinogi 01-11-2009 05:51 AM

I was weighing myself twice daily some days and making myself more and more depressed, my scales at home are not accurate so it fluctuates, so I got my husband to hide them somewhere (probably the bin knowing him haha).

Now to weigh myself I have to do it at work, so I haven't as yet, partly because of the challenge I'm on and partly because I work in a veterinary hosptial and the scale is built into a table so it's kinda embarrassing :dizzy:
someone always walks past as your clambering ontop lol

anyway OCD gone

deathnotronic 01-11-2009 11:43 AM

I weigh myself everyday. It's part of my morning routine now lol, I'd feel weird NOT doing it.

tiggy123 01-11-2009 12:08 PM

I'm the same as Deathnotronic, for me it's best to weigh only in the morning and that's it. If I don't do it I start eating more and sneakily gaining. Stopped weighing for a year because my scale broke, and I put on A LOT.
