My boyfriend is pretty cool about it. He stopped drinking mountain dew to not tempt me and leaves me alone to work out although he doesnt push me...as wierd as it sounds my boss and i have a really good relationship and we're pushing each other too...
Well.... some of my friends kind of support me, but they are all super fit/skinny and therefore even when they try to help it just ends up being kind of disheartening. Otherwise, I've got 3FC, which is enough on most days
You still have us! You may find better info in the exercise forum on getting fit rather than losing weight, but don't feel like we aren't still here for you because your goals have changed.
I would consider my only support you ladies... My family and friends "TRY" however they do things that really erk my nerves like try to make me eat cake and fatty foods... or tell me I dont need to go to the gym.... I dont want them policing my life but sometimes I dont feel like they care
I'm sorry you don't have anyone who supports you but this place does a great job as you know! Luckily, pretty much everyone in my life supports me, the people I really care about anyway. There are a few people at work who flaunt their food and try to get me to cave and eat fast food or baked treats but I just brush them off.
My bf though he doesn't alway understand my food restrictions and occasionally gets frustrated, but for the most part he's supportive. My mom is my biggest support. She's been getting up early to cook me breakfast before I go off to school, helps me pack my lunch and has paid for all the groceries for the las month. She's be absolutely amazing, I have the best mom ever! My dad has been encouraging (he's the vainest out of all of us!), he just wants me to look good and be happy. Plus everyone here!
My hubby supports me.. he needs to trim down too. It really has been a struggle for both of us because its hard for us to say "no" to going out to eat. So we have to help each other.
My family is supportive because they are in the same boat I am. Two of my aunts recently had the lap-band surgery. BUT they all really love to eat.. which is how they ended up needing the surgery in the first place.
3FC has been a great support and motivation. Its helpful being able to talk to people that have been in the same situation
Here is my biggest support. I don't want to sound ungrateful but I do have a friend who tries to help and my mother. My friend weighs probably as much as my hair does wet and is always talking about how the "fat fairy" came to visit her. Not helpful!!!!!! And my mother who is diabetic and thinks there is nothing wrong with eating 900 or less calories. Again not very helpful. So if I want to keep some sanity and a bit of health it is here I come.
Besides 3fc I have my sister who is supportive, I have my husband who is also trying to eat healthier himself (and making me very proud), my coworkers are also supportive and understand when I say no to social events because of food lol.
Sometimes people who try to support don't understand and their "advice" isn't great.
My sis-in-law supports me. We go to the gym together at least once a week. She likes to work out in the morning, and me at night, but it is fun when we meet up at the same time. Even though we have different goals, we still can inspire each other. She is at her goal weight, but like you wants to get fit. I want to lose the weight, and get fit in the process. Other than her though, this is the only place I go to for support. While my family knows I am trying, I don't talk to them about it.
basically it's just the members of this forum, my WW group, and the people on my blog. my family is not supportive at all and my friends are happy with me being the "fat" one of the group and don't like the idea of me losing weight...so i'm going it alone
