Christmas plans?

Boy this forum is slow this week!! :)

What is everyone doing?

We are staying here at our home, having Christmas eve dinner tomorrow night and then a roast dinner on Christmas day. No family coming, just my hubby, me & our little girl. Should be a good cozy christmas. :)

You?!

Low key first Christmas in Canada, just visits from family and the customary huge buffet meal. I'm looking forward to my first boxing day as well apparently the deals are black friday like.

We were supposed to go with my aunt and cousins to Disneyland, but it looks like it's going to rain so we might just have dinner at my aunt's house.

carcar05 12-23-2008 04:03 PM

So what exactly IS boxing day? :)

NJOY- Do a lot of people go to Disney for Christmas?! I feel bad for the people who have to work there! HAHA

I have been battling temptation all week....
but sticking to it, not eaten off plan....
just hope the scales reflect it....
went out with bf for his xmas party last nite....
ate some mushrooms in garlic sauce, limited myself to 8....
had 3 slices of turkey, 7 sprouts and two table spoons of peas and carrot mix....
i avoided desert!....
does that constitute to doing well?....

i have been trying to keep active due to not being at work....
i so know i am going to gain some weight, but i dont want it to be an awful amount as i love my body the way it is now!....

successfully managed to ice the christmas cake and make the chocolate log without nibbling or licking fingers....
woooop go me!....

2mora is going to be a normal days eat for me....
xmas day i will wake up to bran flakes....
try to avoid the snacks (biscuits) before lunch and eat a very controlled and normal meal (turkey, boiled pots, boiled sprouts and boiled beans with no pudding)....
avoiding the rest of the sweets/chocs will be the challenge then....
tea will be pimps....

As for it being slow this week...consider it the lull before the "New Years Resolution" storm.

I'm going to be with my family on Christmas day, then with my family-in-law the day after.

carcar05 12-23-2008 04:18 PM

Amanda, that was EXACTLY what I was thinking! :)

I have to keep checking in here or I will fall off that wagon for sure. :)

So my daughter just put a crayon in our baseboard heater. our whole house smells like a crayola factory... ew. hahahahaha i have to figure out how to clean that up!

Not much going on for us this year ... we traveled for T-day, so we decided to stay home for Christmas. We're making tamales like we always do ... pork, chicken, cheese/jalepeno, cheese/bean :T .... Yeah, yikes!

Hope all of you have a very merry Christmas, and a happy new year!

Gosh I forgot about that! I can sense it at my gym, too.

 I hear stuff like this and it actually makes me look forward to having kids. Am I weird or what?

It's my first Christmas as a "Mrs". We've spent every Christmas together for the past 4 years so you would think it wouldn't be different, but it is. His family is coming into town tonight. For Christmas Eve we're eating homemade chili at our apartment and watching Christmas Vacation after the Christmas Eve Service. Since we live in a 1 bedroom apartment and don't have a dinner table, we have dinner reservations at the Hyatt for xmas day.

I am leaving town right after work (in one hour) and we're going to bunk up at a hotel in Oklahoma city tonight and continue our 17 hour car trip tomorrow morning. We're finally taking our 16 month old son to see my husband's family. I feel incredibly guilty that only my mother-in-law has seen him but they live so freakin far away!

We're hoping and crossing our fingers that we can avoid most of the nasty ice in the next few days.

Very low, family get together at my mamaw's house down the street. Finger food etc. I am going to try and make some WW finger stuff so I can eat more than I normally would be able too. I am going to bring my Wii and set it up at my Mamaw's so hopefully some of us won't be bored to death before eating and opening gifts.

Awww we used to make tamales when we were younger with my mom. But, now she buys like a pot-ful from this lady we know. Not the same as making them, but hey they taste a lot better !

Happy HOlidays! :)

Spending the morning with my parents after my sister and I drive down there tonight to surprise them. This was going to be the first year they have spent without family around but we both wangled it so that we could be there after all.

They have no idea. It's gonna be great.

Then about 2pm ish I'm heading back to Canberra so I can be home in time to have a low-key Christmas dinner with my partner.

Boxing day we are having a "Christmas" dinner with my partner's siblings.

The day (or first weekday) after Christmas, particularly in the UK and British commonwealth:

We are going to my SO's Mother and Fathers tomorrow for dinner and then to my parents on Christmas day for dinner! They both live fairly close so we wont be traveling too much!

:santa:
