Welcome back Urthwurm! Glad y'all are still with us.
I'm trying to do better about my choices, or at least do small quantities if I'm going to get something bad. I *really* need to figure out a workout schedule for myself though. So I actually stick to it. |
Thanks Ballerina. =] Sounds like a good philosophy; I'm trying to stand by that too. I had two small squares of chocolate the other day, 52 calories. It was my little indulgence on Christmas morning. I did very well, considering our stockings were stuffed with candy. =] You & I are similar, in that if I don't have a plan I pretty much stray from what I should be doing. I think we both just need to make time, sit down, & plan our a weekly exercise schedule. One of the gifts my mother gave both Lycan & I for Christmas was a jump rope, & a pair of weights. I'd like to do some jump-rope based exercise 2 or 3 times a week, as well as yoga (using my new DS game), & HHA videos. I think if I can alternate that out, I'll be able to avoid boredom & keep my body moving in different ways. Lycan's mom is also putting their old treadmill & bike in her old room, so we can come over & exercise anytime we like! Now that the snow is melting, I'd like to start walking again. 2 miles a day is what I want to work back up to, since I haven't been walking much recently. When you start from a very low point in your life, there's usually just one way to go: up. I plan to work my way to the top. I want to be the happiest & healthiest I've ever been in my life, & my goal is to achieve it before the end of 2009. Wish me luck?

It's just so hard because I live with my mother in law and she is a great cook! I always tell my BF she should open a restaraunt ... I hope today is better! |

Total Caloric Intake: 1478 ------------------------------------------ Just a quick update for yesterday. =] Having pot roast & a cookie for "breakfast" probably wasn't a great intro to my day. Hehe.. I made flour tortillas so we could have quesadilla's for dinner. I did pretty good for my first time, but they turned out smaller than I expected (was actually the perfect portion)! Since I used whole wheat flour, they had a very strong flavor, & to tone down the bread factor we just ate them open-faced, with spagetti sauce, which made them more into pizzas. DELICIOUS!! Definitely making these again, great for lunches, snacks, or dinners. The tortilla is so versatile; pizza, tacos, enchiladas, pita bread, etc. I'll post today's log later on tonight. =] |
Ok, I'll start with an I'm sorry...so, I'm sorry. Not only to you but myself as well.
Anyways, I've been eating healthy & organic (except for some light chocolate snacking) I've had a hard time keeping up with everything lately and have neglected to record my meals (although they have been healthy). Most of my food intake is similar to Urthwerms, but not completely. I will post at the end of today with my caloric intake and exercise |

Daily Goals: 0/50 Lunges 100/100 Crunches 50/100 Bicep Curls 0/1 Walk (30min) 1/1 Yoga Lesson - Nintendo DS (10min) ------------------------------------------ Breakfast- Chicken & Veggie "Spaghetti": 195 Calories Morning Snack- 4 Slices Turkey: 60 Calories Lunch- Turkey Burger w/Swiss: 463 Calories Mid-Day Snack- 2 Squares Cadbury M. Chocolate: 52 Calories Dinner- PB & Banana Sandwich (4 Tbsp PB!!) : 661 Calories Total Caloric Intake: 1430 ------------------------------------------ Today was actually a very good day. I ate well, I exercised (though mildly).. The only downfall came at the end of the day when I got lazy & hormonal because of my imminent & approaching TOM. That PB & Banana sandwich was a monster! I used two whole slices of (rather large) bread, & 2 TBSP per slice!! My carbs/protein/fat levels were looking beautiful until I consumed that beastly meal. Then my carb percentage rose, & my fat rocketed up to 36%!! =[ And I was doing SO well until then! Rar. Oh well.. OFFICIAL WEIGH IN: Oh, I almost forgot!!! I weighed in this morning at a lovely 196.2lbs!! That's 3.8lbs lost since last week, & 8.6lbs lost in total!!! Sorry, I'm excited. ^_^ I just can't wait until Friday! That's when I can officially have a signature, & I'm so very anxious to see my weight loss bar under my posts!! I find it motivating to see how much I've done already. :halffull: |
Monday December 30th:
Breakfast: Sausage and egg breakfast burrito - 550 cals small order of hashbrowns - 290 cals Lunch: 1 cup spanish rice 252 cals 1 cup mole 443 cals 1 cup brocoli salad 318 cals I slept from about 5pm yesterday until 6am this morning, so I skipped dinner. It's a good thing too, because look at all the calories i ate without it ... scary! |

Check out the "Chicks up for a Challenge" Thread There are several small groups who create small challenges and we get rather close and very supportive! I've signed up for the Goals 2009 Group....it is headed by Enygirl and she is going to have several small challenges throughout the year starting Jan 1st If you want to sign up just go to the Goals 2009 thread and sign up and then go to the New Year New me to set your goals and start meeting people.... Then Jan 1st start working out your resolutions to meet your goals! Good luck! |

Hey gang! I know I sort of disappeared for a couple of days there. I'm very sorry. TOM hit me really hard, and I spent a couple of days hurting and feeling nauseous (fun, right?)
I was good with my calorie count while I was gone, but that was partially because I felt too blah to eat. Happy New Years Eve everyone! Hope you have a wonderful time celebrating. I've looked at that other thread, and I'm thinking about joining in for one of their mini-goals to see what it's like. I'll still be checking in here daily though. Urthwurm!! Congrats on your loss! That's great. :) (haha I think this forum is the only place where we congratulate people on losing things) ;) |
