I haven't lost enough weight yet this time around to have problems with too big pants. It seems no matter what weight I am I always have a hard time finding ones that fit me just right. And I'm weird about my butt. I don't want the jeans flattening my butt, I like em to emphasize LOL. I have to turn around and do the booty check I have noticed, strangely enough, that the jeans that were digging into my fat belly last week are now snug but i'm not spilling over them this week and it's only been a week. My mom says it's only because im young that I can have it like that I've always been on the quicker side to lose weight and tighten up. More incentive for me to do it NOW than when i'm older. My mom lost 80lbs years ago and has kept it off (more or less, she just dropped 20lbs she had regained) and still struggles. Due to her age (54) she has to work out extra hard and be extra careful what she eats, she can't get away with what I can. Just be glad when those 12's start falling off you girl! Won't be long I bet

I think that I must have gotten a good hot dryer then because they stretch out after a little bit but overall the fit is tighter. I think its because I've always dried my clothes on permanent press, and so they never got the initial shrink you get when you first wash jeans. Anyhow- they stay on for now and I know I just didn't gain weight back because I tried on a pair of 8's the other day! woo hoo.

I'll echo in with what everyone else has said here..and it seems to be with these two sizes too! All of the 14s I have I'm swimming in, and even most of the 12s look just completely dumpy in the booty (which makes a girl feel so attractive, let me tell ya!) but then I'll try a 12 in some other brands, and I'll feel like the biggest, fattest piece of crap!

I needed a new dress, so I went into my trusty H&M, and went into the dressing room all confident, and low and behold, I'm still a 14..a perfect 14. No giving on that one.

I know a size is just a number and there's no uniformity, but is it really just a number? Especially seeing how many numbers I've DROPPED? It messes with my head and makes me feel a bit off, and that's not such a great feeling. I want custom clothes, SANS sizes.

I am currently sitting a work lamenting this very problem however it is with the skirt I am wearing.

it's *supposed* to be high waisted. So it's *supposed* to sit HIGH on my WAIST. It is at this moment somewhere in the region of my HIPS >.< and suddenly doesn't look as cute as it did when I bought it a month ago lol.

It's a double edged complaint...I'm thrilled its too big...but annoyed it now looks bad.

The belt it came with is even notched on its smallest setting and I can STILL get 4 fingers between my waist and top of skirt.

The other problem is its an 8 (US4) and it doesn't come in a size smaller. *cries*

But thats my rant...my actual jeans on the other hand are all starting to fit nice and comfy again - they were bought when I was a little bit smaller lol.

I'm there with ya ladies!
Hey, at least it isn't some larger size, at least you are making progress! I'm happy my 12's are getting loose, but my 10s won't even snap! :P

Lyria, you're so right about the double-edged sword thing. I'll take complaining about TOO BIG clothes any day, then clothes that are too small. It's nice having more to choose from now, and going into stores in the mall and knowing that I can fit into their clothes. I'll take that any day:-)

I'm in the same limbo where I can fit my 12's and my 14's. This sucks a**! Hopefully I'll be rocking the size 10's soon...

im in the same situation i ONCE found a pair of size 13 jeans, which were my sisters. So they do exist!! Otherwise yeah, u just have to kind of ride it out in my experience

Yeah, id rather complain about things being too big too but on the other hand, if clothes dont fit you dont feel as good at ANY size

I'm wearing 12's and 14's too. So weird......they are even the same brand and style!

Ghost- 13's (or odd numbered sizes) are Junior's sizes.

I have the same problem with button down shirts. I have an hour glass figure and the top half of my hour glass has always been rather large so the buttons always gap around that area...but if I get the shirt bigger to preven gaping, the part around my waist looks way too large.

I don't wear button down shirts too often because of this...haha.

I have one I wear - it has a zipper instead of buttons! White cotton lycra, with some seams or darts to shape it. I like it

Sometimes if you go to Target the Mossimo jeans have 13s and www.delias.com has size 13s too.

Junior's sizes are for teenagers, so it makes sense. It's not children's sizes.
