Thumbs down Yikes and Exams!

Hey ladies!

I'm not sure what to do exactly here. Not all the teams have their numbers in, not everyone in the teams managed/bothered to weigh in, and on top of all of that, my exam period is looming...

I'm seriously considering seeing if someone else wants to take over, because I'm not sure I can handle stressing about one more little thing like... who's weighed in, and who hasn't, lol!

Is there anyone who WOULD be interested in taking this over? I've got exams all next week, and leave for Ireland that Thursday... I'm gonna be pretty dead-beat in running this...

Let me knoooooow.

Love you all!
-Jess

Girl, just use what you have. Post the numbers you have & don't worry about the teams that didn't post. You told everyone to get their numbers in by midnight & if you don't, then your numbers are added in. They can just be added next week if they want to participate.

Don't stress!! =) You're doing great!

yeah you definitely shouldn't stress about it! If people don't have their numbers in, then that's their fault, not yours!

Jelbb, I'm sorry, I could see that Week 2 here really turned into a circus!

I'm fairly new to 3FC and so I missed the cut off for the 13-week main BL Challenge but I've been reading over that board and they are way more strict. This challenge seemed less strict and maybe that means some people take it less seriously. Anyways, it seems you've shouldered a lot of responsibility with 13 teams speckled with people with varying degrees of commitment to this challenge.

I think a lot of people have confidence in you but you know yourself best and if its going to stress you too much to continue leading this challenge, then maybe you should step down. I wouldn't mind taking over but I'm not entirely sure how teams win each week and win overall. Also I'm no softie! I'm much more of a Jillian... beatings beatings beatings!

But if you think you can stay, just log on at the designated time, collect the numbers and post 'em! If a team doesn't post numbers, theyre out for the week. If people don't post numbers, theyre not included in the team's weekly weighin. If team captains go missing, recruit another on the team. If teams shrink down to 1-2 person well... they can be an island!

This challenge is VERY helpful for me and I'm sure there are other dedicated people that really want it to stay and are willing to step up to help out.

You take care of you. Let us know how we can help.

I appreciate what you've been doing SO much girl! I know how you feel... I'm in law school right now and our exams start in two days and go for two weeks... I would take over for ya but I think I would probably have to neglect this whole thing even more! Its as much as I can do to be "good" and not munch on everything while studying!!

YOU'RE THE BEST and let me know if you need any help!

Eep, sorry, I was frustrated last night, but this post wasn't meant to be berating everyone who didn't get their numbers in, moreso a proclamation that I think I NEED to step down in order to keep this thing going, because I've got a week of non-stop studying ahead of me, and then I'm leaving for Ireland... I don't want to suddenly be a no-show in terms of getting everything done, so I'm trying to get this taken care of by someone else.

I've had plenty of people express that they might be interested in running the NEXT one... anyone interested in taking the reigns from this one?

I'll still be around if that person needs/wants help, I just know I'll be way too distracted during exams, and I don't want to let you all down.

Anyone? I'm sorry if my starting this, then realizing I can't handle the responsibility makes me a jerk.

Jelbb, you're not a jerk. Sometimes when we take the lead on things, it gets frustrating and overwhelming, especially when we have other things to do too. If you need help, I can be your "assistant" if you need me to. I have a bit more time on my hands now.

You're not a jerk at all! You've done very well so far and I think it's very sensible to step down since you don't have more time. Unfortunately I'm quite busy at the moment too, so I'm not really able to take over. I wish I could help but I really can't . I hope we find someone! And else I'll make the graphs / numbers from this week, but no earlier than in 24 hours or so.

I'll take the job... The full job... I come here religiously and I, unlike everyone else on here, do NOT have a job, do NOT go to school, do NOT have children or ANYTHING that would keep my away from getting the job done.

Not to put down everyone who does have those things.... I'm just saying... I have no reason to be busy. haha

I know it can be hard doing something like this when you have school... been there, done that. Keep your head up and good luck on all those papers, exams, etc.

I think she did it in Excel. When you put the data in a spreadsheet you can easily make graphs out of it. If you don't have Excel, you can use the Open Office spreadsheet programme, which can be downloaded for free.

Arthwen. You're hired.
I'm at a friend's house right now studying for one of my giant final exams, so I can't go over maths stuff too intensely right now...
But the teams' numbers need to be gathered and their percentages figured out...

Essentially... you take their goal... say they want to (at all their final goals) weigh a total of 1050 pounds... and this week they lose 5 pounds in total.

You divide 5 by 1050.

5 [divded by] 1050 = 0.00476
Which... you move the decimal place over two spots, means they have 4.76% towards their goal.

Make sense?

Okay, I'm being yelled at to get back to studying.
MissTraveller, I wish you were here to help with la mia essame d'italiano.

Ahhhhh, okay yelled at more... I haven't added up black team's stuff.. I'm too busy trying to kill myself with foreign languages... if you have to omit them before I get a chance to add the numbers up, I'M SORRY, KBYE.

Jelbb, that isn't 4.76%. It's 0.476% .
