Default Eating out suggestions...

We are going to go out to eat tonight- nothing fancy. Any suggestions? I want to eat healthy but all I can think about is NOT healthy food.

So start shouting 'em out ladies I need ideas!! HAHA

I'm in Idaho so we have the basics like Arby's, Subway, Wendy's, etc and then some nicer places too but we're thinking more along the lines of fast and cheap.
Any specific foods to try, for example...?

The problem with eating out is that the calorie and fat info is not always provided and something that looks healthy is usually not When I do eat fast food I like the grilled chicken sandwich (320 calories, 7g. fat) from wendy's with a small chili (190 calories, 6g.fat) or from subway I get a turkey sub (280 calories, 4.5g. fat). There is a website called dotties weight loss zone (dwlz.com) that you can find a lot of restaurants calorie and fat information. It also gives you points if you are on WW. I tend to find their information mostly accurate. Hope this helps

Most fast food places have nutrition information online. I think you can find a healthy option anywhere, if you choose to look (and ignore all the less healthy temptations...fries, I'm talking about you!)

Default Mmmm...

A vegetarian on wheat from Subway with jalapenos, oil and vinegar, and lots of pepper.

That's my personal favorite.

The other places I don't like. At Arby's I would get a medium curly fries and a small chocolate shake to dip them in, but that isn't healthy at all. My friend always got chili and a salad from Wendy's, but if I chewed on anything substantial that wasn't bean texture in Wendy's chili I would probably lose it and start weeping.

I'm on South Beach, so I've been eating the grilled chicken sandwich (no bun, with cheese) and getting unsweet tea and adding splenda, and getting a side salad and putting a little bit of the dressing on the chicken breast. It's reallllllllly good and pretty filling! You can do that at virtually any fast food restaurant, as most have grilled chicken sandwiches. Just watch the side items! Also, most steaks are good for you as well, as long as they are sirloin.

lol like everyone else is saying! Grilled instead of fried! Apples in tead of fry's water instead of soda! I dont really go to arbys, but if you look hard enough, most fast food places now have healther option on their menu. good luck!
