I have a heart shaped face (I think), and when I'm thin short hair looks really cute on me, those pixie cuts etc just really flatter my smaller facial features and make my chin look great.
Well, now that I'm a little heavier, I feel like I hide behind my shoulder length heavy shapeless ugly hair. I really want to show off my face again and have some fun hair, and I'm tired of waiting to get skinny in order to do that!!
SO... I know ya'll can't see ME personally, but do you think a chubby girl could do this hair? Because, I want to. haha!
Should I wait until I've lost the weight before I go this bold?
EDIT: Okay I decided to add a link so you can see ME!!!!!! CLICK FOR A PIC OF ME Not exactly the best representation of me, but that was just 2 weekends ago. And hopefully it's okay to post a hair question in this thread- it DOES have to do with my weight, you see.
I have a problem with using my hair as a sort of curtain to my insecurities as well. I honestly can't say if I think it would look good or not because I actually don't have a clue. But I can say this... If you're confident with the way you look, and don't feel like you need to hide behind your hair anymore, Do it. My suggestion to you would be to buy a short haired cheap wig, wear it for a while around the house, glance into mirrors, check your hot self out, and then decide:P That way you don't have to cut your hair off and find out you hate short hair on you:P
You really think so?! You don't think it'll make the roundiness of my face too obvious right now?
You girls are great. I am still debating. I'm thinking of going a little darker too, my BFF & I are having a "pamper us" night next thurdsay, doing cuts and color and I want to do something bold I think.
Go for it! If you don't like it, it will grow, right?
Do what makes you feel good. I think a sassy new haircut might help you stay motivated to lose weight. I know I can stay on plan better when I feel good about myself.
its not can a chubby girl pull it off, more like, do you have enough hair to pull it off. I can see that haircut being a disaster even on a thin woman if she has thin bodyless hair. So, if your hair is thick enough to hold the shape of the cut I say go for it.
At first I was a little iffy because I didn't know how round your face might be, but you've got nice cheekbones, and a nice slender neck with small shoulders. Rock it, you gorgeous redhead you...
P.S. -- make sure you part it and sleep on it overnight while it's just barely damp and use a pomade SPRAY in the mornings when you're styling it. It's definitely a wash and go style, so that will curb any volume issues you might have.
