Hi all!
How is everyone getting on? Ace- Congrats on the job and about the loss! QTestRDH- I can sympathise! I had AF this week as well! I felt really down about it as well! But it's just temporary, it'll go and if you don't lose this week you'll probably lose extra next week! As for me, I'm really sick at the moment. I've had the flu for 3 days and I'm miserable. I can't work out because I can barely move. It feels like I pulled all the muscles in my body. Ick. It also makes me not want to be aware of everything I eat. But at the same time I don't have much of an appitite. So who knows. I might have lost this week! Anyway, I'm gonna go. I feel awful:( |
Aww Maddie. I hope you feel better soon! A friend of mine has something similar. She said she thought she broke a rib coughing so hard and all her muscles hurt too! Hopefully it will pass and you'll be good as new! Take it easy and don't even worry about exercising.

just checking in to say i'm sorry about being MIA for the past week---but i'm back and will be caught up on the whole forum readings by monday---
on a side note--- today i weighed in at 153.6 so even though i have been sick for the past few days and on TOM and havent exercised in a whole week i'm at least down some--- lets see what else--- oh i did calorie counting and i'm averaging about 1800 or so a day but i did it for three days and then thanskgiving hit and then i didnt do it for the past two days either---but i bet i could go back and fill in those days as best i can -- WELCOME BACK ACE!!! |
Hey everyone! Just stopping by to give an update. I haven't been around the forums for a few days due to Thanksgiving and work. I haven't exercise in 3 days, but starting tomorrow I'm going to be back on plan. On Thanksgiving I worked an 8 hour shift then had some dinner with my family in which I am very proud of myself. I stuck ONLY to the turkey and steamed vegetables. No sides like stuffing or gravy, anything. No rolls with butter. I must say though, it wasn't very hard. I only had the TINIEST piece of apple pie you could imagine, it was more of a taste than anything.
The next day, Black Friday, I was out and shopping by 6am. I didn't eat breakfast which sucked but for lunch I had a chicken wrap with lettuce tomatoes and avocado with VERY little bbq sauce just for some moisture lol. For dinner I had a bowl of cereal and that was it. I barely ate at all on Friday. Saturday I ate well also, cheerios for breakfast, an apple and some cheese for a snack, a salad for lunch, another apple for a snack, and chicken and veggies for dinner. Overall I am so proud of myself. I didn't gorge in food and stuff my face. It was much easier than I had previously thought. I only wish that I had ate more. I barely ate at all on Friday. So for my weigh in on Monday I will most likely be the same weight from last week since it is also my TOM and I was bloated all week. Plus I was sick from Sunday to Friday. How has everyone else been this week? I feel like I have been gone for forever. LOL. |
Great job Shauna!!! I wish I could say I ate less on Thanksgiving. But I did ok. I hyperventilated because Friday night the scale said I was up 5lbs!!! 5lbs!! But when I checked my weight the next day w/out clothes like I usually do, I was only up .5lb from last week. And today I'm down .5lb so its looking like I might have lost a little or stayed the same. But either way, I made it through my first holiday and didn't gain!!

QTestRDH: Well done on maintaining! I think thats a good aim during a holiday! Thats what I'm aiming for during christmas!
As for me....still sick but I'm a tiny bit better today. I've had since thursday and I'm a little frustrated that it wont go away!!! I was feeling ok last night so I did exercise! Indoors, as its 0 degrees here...or 32 degrees in farenheit! (sp?!) I got the power sculpt dvd so I wanted to start it. It was ok. A little tought but I like that it wasn't too long! Anyway! I've lost about 5 lbs this week! Which is really exciting! I think its just because of AF. I'm not entirely sure because my new scales says I'm 8lbs down since last week but my old one says I'm 5lbs down. Anyhow I'll just go by the old scales for this because that's what I started with! Anyhow I need to go write 4 essays and study! Exams in 2 weeks...EEEKKK! |

I need some motivation! I'm feeling myself getting more lenient with the "treats" I was doing great for weeks and Thanksgiving was like my downfall or something. What do you girls do when you start to get OP?? I need to get my motivation back!!!

I'm kind of having the same problem, I was doing really well with staying away from the junk food but when i counted my calories and found out I wasn't eating enough, I figure eating the junk is okay to lift the calories a bit higher...

the food count for that day you listed above looks great-- ACE--- but i didnt see any fruit --- I know with me i wasnt eating fruit at all and then when i added in fruit i started to lose a bit easier --- and 1900 cal. for you is great --- but dont shoot for anything less than that with your current weight----you should be losing just fine as it is---
as for me i havent counted cals in about 3-4 days--- definetly doing it tomorrow and i recently purchased one of those diet/workout journals off amazon and i have a calorie king book that i carry around in my purse now ---so i have no excuse whatsoever---and most of all --i need to get my butt moving again---so tomorrow i'm shooting for an hour long workout ---that would put me at a week straight that i havent worked out--- and the longer i go with this the easier it is to put it off---so no more--- i'm doing it tomorrow and keeping at it--i think i'm going to do jillian micheals winning by losing --- somehow she gets to me that i just cant go a day without doing her workouts --- so ya i need jillian back in my life-- and week 5 of the biggest loser-- alright stats---so even though i havent worked out i'm down to 153.6 as of this morning ---so if i miss the weigh in tomorrow use this weight --- so that means i'm down about a lb --- so where have i been the past few days--- i spent thanksgiving at my parents and did great--- i didnt eat bad at all and i didnt eat the veggies cause they were literally soaked in oil--- ate some turkey and a little mashed potatoes and gravy--- and just a handful of rice--- overall i think i did really well---usually i'll go for like 2 or 3 platefulls instead this time i barely filled my plate and then only refilled about a quarter of the plate ---so overall i did well with that---- oh and best of all i made turkey breast stuffed with mushrooms and spinach that was in a weight watchers recipe and it was a hit everyone loved it and they didnt even mind that it was a healthy recipe--- but the desert that i made out of that cookbook was not a hit nobody liked it ---but i thought it came out just fine--- kind of like it needed coffee or hot chocolate next to it--- so ya they made fun of me for that cake ---lol---oh well--- i liked it even though it took like forever to make---- then thursday/friday/and saturday i spent the day(s) out shopping so even though i didnt work out i got a lot of exercise walking around and waiting in long lines-- and best of all i barely ate much so i didnt eat any more junk and best of all --i didnt have to take any of the leftover thanksgiving dinner home--- alright this entry has gotten pretty long--- so i'll just end it by saying i'm glad we all did so well this week and we're doing amazingly great---keep it up everyone-- |
I usually do eat 1 or 2 apples a day, It's most likely because It was on saturday, and my apple intake is usually at school so I can avoid going to our "cafeteria" for anything else.

As of tonight I'm up 2 pounds. But I refuse to accept that so I'm gonna weigh in again tomorrow morning!!

My schedule is very hectic tomorrow so I'll just put my stats up now so I don't forget. I stayed the same as last week 191.3 pounds. My TOM and not eating enough did me in LOL. It's better than gaining weight I guess. Hope everyone does well tomorrow. =)
