oh he sucks and we hate him :snooty: , don't we ladies....

btw, banner looks really nice. i'm digging it.

also, i wanted to add some thoughts. i too have a big time sweet tooth. i don't allow myself to eat store bought snacks, like hostess or little debbie's, etc. but instead i make my own. in fact, i find it to be much more rewarding, tastier, as well as healthier. i guess the effort it takes to make something makes it seem all the better. plus, i don't really trust those "diet" snack foods. so anyway, i made these cookies and i wanted to share it with all of you.

1 cup all-bran cereal
1 cup fat free, sf plain yogurt
3 tbsp natural chunky pb
1 tbsp egg replacer
1 tsp vanilla
4-5 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
3 splenda packets
water as needed

preheat oven to 350. mix all ingredients together in a bowl. if it's to sticky and dry add a bit of water just to moisten the batter. spoon onto cookie sheet covered in foil and sprayed with PAM. bake for 10 minutes. cool and enjoy!

You go girl, men are worth waiting for. :)

I know- I want to have this signature all the time, hahaha! Maybe after the challenge I'll make a new pin-up signature for us that isn't related to the challenge. It was fun to make, haha! :)

ugh please dont hate me ladies. but i totally felt like bingeing for the last few days now. i've been holding it off til today. its just so cold outside, and i just wanted to sit and watch movies in bed and snack all day. it's only 1130am and i've eaten 6 of the cookies i made yesterday, 7 bran pancakes with banana syrup, 3 mini pitas with a LC cheese wedge, 100 calorie popcorn, about 3/4 c ww pasta with spinach, tomatoes, and tuna.

positive note, i didn't eat anything i normally really wouldn't eat. like pizza or cake. it's really early in the day, so i could eat super light for the rest of the day and stay within calories.

negative, i definitely overate. ate past the point of satisfaction. ate way too much starches. the pancakes and topping i made from scratch, and i ate 4 pancakes, and was saving the other 4 for tomorrow morning. :( i guess that didn't happen.

i'm hoping this is one of those binges that "shocks" your body into weight loss. sorry, team. i'll pull through this.

carcar05 11-18-2008 11:40 AM

Stellart- Whoa girl! :) No worries, that was my Thursday. :) I hope it shocks your body into losing weight too-- drink TONS TONNNNNSSS of water to flush it out, tons of fruits too- and you should be okay, just so long as this doesn't become an every day or even a once a week or even a once a MONTH thing! It could be worse...

Just stay positive, don't dwell on how you've eaten this morning and don't let it ruin the rest of your day. Enjoy what you ate, savor that flavor, and move on. Eating light the rest of the day will probably make you feel a lot better than if you continue eating the same way the rest of the day. You may not even notice all those bad carbs! :) lol, good luck!

heidelene 11-18-2008 12:39 PM

Everyone has bad days. I was like that Sunday. I'm tempted to be like that today, so I'm just keeping the fruit near by and the sweets and carbs far away.

heidelene 11-18-2008 12:48 PM

Speaking of comfort food, I'm seriously craving some Ramen Noodles for lunch today....they're just soooo full of sodium and calories. If I drink lots of water I should be good, right? And I was super good at breakfast and the rest of my lunch is healthy.....

carcar05 11-18-2008 01:56 PM

Heidelene- Maybe only use half the flavor packet. OR if you have boullion cubes or powder, that is lower sodium (if you've bought the low sodium kind) so you can make the noodles and flavor it with boullion instead of the packet that comes with it. That's what I do, anyway :)

SO... here's my big news. I realized shortly after posting that I was at 172 that I was wearing my pajamas when I weighed in... I had just woken up and must not have really thought about it. SO I hurried up, stripped down, went potty and weighed myself. 171.2! WHAT?!! YEAH!!!

heidelene 11-18-2008 02:47 PM

That's awesome, Carly! I weighed myself this morning, and thanks to lots of water and end of TOM, I was down 1.5 lbs from yesterday. If we keep it up, we will do good come next monday!

carcar05 11-18-2008 03:41 PM

Yay-eah! Let's do this! :)

That's awesome Heidi!

I'm off to the store to buy some nutritional foods. This is my problem... I buy healthy foods, I rarely buy crap food. But then I don't know how to turn those healthy foods into satisfying meals for me and my husband. I try to meal plan and have an ingredient list to shop with, but more often than not I just go to the grocery store and buy whatever looks yummy at the time (like last time, i bought 2 cucumbers... I was really craving cuke for some reason... they are still sitting in the bottom of my fridge, and will probably go rotten before I get to them...)

Any advice on how to shop more efficiently and some good satisfying meals to shoot for? We're vegetarian and I can't eat eggs or dairy due to allergies, so anyway... Let me know I'd appreciate any suggestions! :)

Do you guys eat much tofu? I LOVE to put tofu in with stir-fry veggies, saute them in some vegetable broth, add in some ginger, and enjoy! Mixed berries make a great side or are good on spinach salad. ALSO - check out www.vegweb.com. They are devoted to vegan recipes, and they looked pretty yummy...I could probably slip one or two of them to my meat and potatoes husband and he would never know the difference.

LADIES!! I AM SO SO SO SORRY!! I worked a 12 hour shift yesterday (my first day) and then when I got home (9:30pm) my internet wasn't working and the wireless that I can sometimes steal wasn't up either :( :( I am sooo sorry. I did not mean to let anyone down at all!! I am going to read the rest of the posts I missed and respond.
