  • I can't tell you the last time I was on the scale and I don't even remember how much it was then. I do know that I've had to go down 2 or so sizes in pants though and for the first time in a long time the other night I weighed myself. I imagine I was about 250 at my heaviest in a size 24 jeans. I weighed in at 233.20 in my size 18 skinny jeans. Progress is progress. Better than none at all and I'm hoping that I can take it down more
  • 177.4 baby!

WOO HOO! things are getting loose... even jeans i tried on the weekend that sent me into a snit because they were so incredibly tight fit me fairly okay last night! I bet if i go down just a couple more pounds they'll become my favourite pair of sexy jeans.
  • 193.2 this morning

siiiiiigh. Thanksgiving and TOM conspired to bring me down. (up?)
  • 194.4 lbs TODAY!!!!! YEAH, BABY! Lol I don't think I've ever been so happy about a gain in my entire life... But I'm so psyched that in spite of the fact that I ate junk on Tuesday, AND had a huge Thanksgiving dinner yesterday, I only gained 0.2 lbs! I was expecting to be up at least 1-2 lbs, hehe. I can't believe that I was able to celebrate a holiday to the fullest extent, and not do too much damage to my WL. I feel great right now... AND I'm wearing the size-12 jeans I bought on Wednesday!!

preppingbride - OMG, 177.4?! You are totally blazing through this lately, hehe! Well done! I can totally feel your joy through the internet, LOL, and I'm sooo happy for you. Keep it up! And also, how cool is it that you got to set your actual goal date? I'm nowhere near setting that, or even thinking about it, heh. As always, best of luck reaching that goal!!

Jelbb - LOL "incredi-f*cked"!! I might have to start using that one... I love it. Are you any less stressed now? I wanna hear from you, lady! Lol.

apotter8 - Hey, cool, if you've managed to lose ~17 lbs so far, that is AWESOME. And seeing your pants size drop is an excellent way of gauging your progress--so going from wearing 24s to 18s is a definite testament to your hard work. Congrats!

leighish - Aww, sorry to hear that you're disappointed by your weigh-in today, but stay strong, woman! Is 193.2 an especially big gain? You'll be back down in no time. But hey, Thanksgiving and TOM are both pretty hard to get through without gaining, so I hope you're not beating yourself up too badly. You'll be back down in no time!!
  • Guess BL has taken the glory away from posting here....
but you know what? I'm proud and want to post it twice!

    176.4!!!

That's a 6 lb loss since last Monday! WOO HOO
Maybe, just maybe, I will actually be in the 160s by Christmas. wouldn't that be lovely.
  • Considering what the outcome of what Thanksgiving normally does to my eating and weights, I tried to watch it more and "plan" what I was going to eat.

Last week: 206.2 This morning: 207.6 So i'm up 1.4 lbs. Not NEARLY the 5-6 lbs I seem to usually gain.
  • 191.8 lbs!
that's a loss over last weeks tbl weigh in so that's good!

I'm putting the scale away for a week to see how I fare without it keeping tabs on a daily basis.
  • Aww, but *I* still really like this thread! Haha. Let's not let it die, ladies!

preppingbride - WOOHOO! 6 pounds in one week?! You're a force to me reckoned with, m'dear! I'm quite jealous. That is absolutely fantastic!

PackersBearFan - Ahhh, gotta love Thanksgiving, LOL. But a 1.4-lb gain isn't that bad at all, so I hope you're not too upset about it! You'll be kissing those extra lbs goodbye in no time!

leighish - You GO, girl! Haha! You are soooo close to being in the 180s, and lemme tell ya, I am soooo jealous! LOL. I wanna catch up with you, but you're going so fast it's hard to keep up with all your losses!! Hehe. Congrats to you, and keep it up! Can't wait to celebrate the 180s with you!

As for meeeee, my weigh-in yesterday brought semi-bad news, unfortunately. Even though I was only 194.4 lbs on the day after Thanksgiving, yesterday was the first day of TOM, so of course I blew up like a balloon. Grrrrr. I weighed in at a 194.8 lbs! Not a huge gain of course, but I'm disappointed that I had to report a "gain" for the BL challenge. Especially since my one goal for this week was just to maintain--I knew I probably wouldn't lose much, cuz of Thanksgiving, but I just didn't want to gain!! But then, since I was doing so well after Thanksgiving, I'm like, "Did I meet that goal or not? Is this gain purely because of TOM?" I feel like it is but I can't be sure. So frustrating! BUT, on the plus side, during my last TOM I stayed completely OP and managed to lose ~6 lbs in 1 week, so I'm hoping that my metabolism will get a kick in the butt and get me back down. Wish me luck for my weigh-in on Friday!
  • Down 3.8lbs for the week total 43.8.
  • Sitting steady this morning at 148.8...

My body does NOT want to get solidly into the 140s. My mini-goal was to be down to 145 from 160 before Ireland, but.. with 8 days until I leave, I'm thinking that's less and less likely, lol.
  • Jelbb Jelbb Jelbb, You are down in the 140's girl!!!! I would LOVE to be able to say that!!! Remember when I was telling you to wait for me?!?! Be glad you didn't wait cuze I'm still sticking around 160......

    8 more days?!?!?!?!? How exciting?!?!?!?!?!!??!
  • Awww.
Thanks darling, I really should be appreciative of how far my work has gotten me, considering some peoples' bodies just DON'T WANT TO COOPERATE. *glares at Jamie's body*

    YUP, 8 days! Eeeee.
  • I started using that fitday.com and I do now understand why my weight isn't going anywhere!!!

It really is about your diet rather then how crazy you work out....don't get me wrong, working out helps and is needed for toning but I NEED to obviously cut back on the food!!!

I tried the wheat thing for like two days...yeah....can't do it, YET. I'm at a place that I'm ok with 160 as long as I'm toned, which I am getting toned. I plan to post some before/after pictures right before I go on my trip in January!
  • Hey girls! Glad to see someone else posting on this thread again, hehe. You know we'll all come crawling back once the BL challenge is over.

Bee20nine - GET IT, girl!! 3.8 lbs in one week is pretty darn fantastic; I am uber-impressed by your weight-losin' skillz! Hehe, you're doing so great!

Jelbb - If you make me think even for one second that you are disappointed in yourself for not being 145 (yet!), I will personally haul a** to Ontario (I'm in Chicago, IL!) and give you a swift kick in the butt, young lady! Hehe, jk, but seriously, you have done SO awesomely! I know disappointment sucks hardcore, but think how incredibly close you are, and how much you've already achieved, and will continue to achieve! When you originally set the goal of being 145 by Ireland, wouldn't you have been SO ECSTATIC to be 148.8? Now remember that and think of that feeling instead! Hehe. Sorry that I'm like writing an essay here, but I am so proud of you and I want you to be proud and feel great when you go to Ireland, too. Your boyfriend is going to be sooo blown away by you, he won't know what to do with himself! Lol. And you WILL get to 145 soon, I just know it!

JamieJo - I really think it's a combination of both diet and exercise, and so far it seems to me like most people (uh, myself definitely included) have more trouble getting themselves to work out--so if you've motivated yourself to do that, and you're getting toned and all that awesomeness, you've seriously already won half the battle in my book! LOL. Well done!

I'll be back tomorrow with results of my Friday weigh-in!! I have been very good this week (with the exception of a few chocolates yesterday, but I compensated for it with a very light dinner, hehe!) and I'm definitely expecting a loss. Wish me luck!
  • Jamie:
Ohh, good, honey! That thing's really great, I used it for quite a while when I was learning to count calories. Now I usually just add things up in my head (and OVER estimate if I don't know for sure), but Fitday really really helped me out.
Were you just taking in more calories than you thought you were?
And I agree with Meredith. Kudos on the workouts. My body is still far from toned.
What'd you have trouble with with the anti-wheat stuff?

    Meredith:
    ...I love you.
You're absolutely right. When I set my goal for 145, I would've been elated to be 148.6 (as of this morning. Woo-hoo, a number I saw a week ago!! ).
I get really worried sometimes when my body stops losing that the reason it stops is because this current lifestyle, and how I'm eating right now is only good enough to maintain. I work really hard at trying to make the right choices, and eating fairly low-calorie, and avoiding wheat... so to think that what I'm doing right now is only good enough to stay at this same weight now that I'm down 15 lbs... makes me wanna give up, lol. It makes me think that in order to start myself LOSING again, I have to start getting actually RESTRICTIVE about what I'm eating, cut myself down to less than 1500 calories a day, and I don't want to do that, because I don't think I can keep that up forever.
    Stupid body, lol.
