Eating Enough?

  • Im 135lbs wanting to get to 126....

    today ive eaten....
    bran flakes with skimmed milk....
    satsuma....
    muller light youghurt....
lettuce and boiled egg sandwhich on white....

i am as active as i can be at work....
go for a mile walk (down hill then uphill) at lunch time, 30 mins....
workout for 70 mins in the evening....
and remain to be as active as possible until bed time...

do you think this is enough food to still be loosing?....
surely i shudnt cut it down any more?....
  • That's quite a bit of activity for every day. Are you stalled? Is that the problem? If so, the first thing I'd do is add a bit more food to the day. Some more veg & protein. At the very least, I wouldn't cut down any further.
  • That doesn't sound like much food, but you have to measure the quantities to get an idea of the calories involved. For me, 1500 calories/day with a 45 minute walk and 30 min workout most days seems to result in an average 1lb+ loss/week.
  • Based on my estimates, you've consumed a total of 582 calories today:
bran flakes with skimmed milk.... (180 cals)
    satsuma.... (40 cals)
    muller light youghurt.... (102 cals)
lettuce and boiled egg sandwhich on white.... (260 cals)

Is that all you're planning to eat? Because if so, then NO you're not getting enough food. In fact you're starving yourself. You should be eating at least 1200 calories a day, and if you're working out for an hour and a half or more a day, then you should DEFINITELY be eating more.

I agree. I would check out that FitDay.com website. You can track what your weight goal is, measure your calories, they have a total food log that will tell you how much you are eating and even a way to calculate the calories you are burning with your work outs. I learned a crapload about nutrition on there and i think it could totally help. It just help me make better choices and learn what I was actually putting in my body.

oh, and about your dad - I have one of those kinds too. Just ignore him. You arent big at all. In all actuality - I need to be your weight to be healthy. lol. Good luck.
