Default going on vacation...

Ok, I am going to France tomorrow, you know where they have delicious cheese. chocolate, wine etc. I have vowed to get back into my routine by Sept. 1 since I am a teacher and this summer has been pretty much routineless. But, I dont want to start farther behind than I am now. I have about 10-15 pounds to loose, all gained this past year after marriage ahhh!
Anyways, I am going to thinking of you all and these forums while I am away and try not to go too overboard. I will enjoys, but not so much that I feel horrible about myself or that I feel sick (not that that has ever happened to any of us before

Take care, and I will check in in two weeks. That's when the count down will really begin for me!

oh man, have fun in france!!! you'll have an awesome time. if it makes you feel any better, when i was in europe 2 summers ago, i actually lost 5 pounds over 3 weeks. the portions i was eating over there tended to be smaller and on top of that, we walked every where. enjoy yourself and safe travels!

why were they mean? I was there a few years back and honestly didn't have the best experience but I decided to give it another try. Going with my husband and staying in hotel opposed to hostels.

garstar:
I notice that we have similar goals and expectations for our weight loss. Do you mind me asking what you are doing to loose? I am going full swing when I return, do you have a buddy or something? I am not totally sure how that would work but maybe someone with similar goal would be a good check-in?

I am planning on cutting calories to about 1400 a day and cotinuing to be active 4-5- days a week.

Good luck! Enjoy your vacation, first and foremost. Like said, I know Europeans tend to eat smaller portions plus they walk everywhere. Try and walk to places as much as possible.

On a side note, you and I have similiar goals. I'm currently 140lb, wanting to lose 12-17 more lbs.

Have fun! my husband and I started saving money to finally go on our honeymoon (Paris) but we found out I was pregnant so we fixed up the nursery instead.
