That's great Tara! What a victory!!!

Taylor86 06-27-2008 10:14 PM

Tara YAY!!! That is just so awesome! I can't wait for that to happen to me! You go girl!!!

Talking about jeans though, gosh I wish I had ALL of you in bedroom last night. So, I was feeling kinda slimmer last night so I tried on an old pair of jeans.....I got them up..passed my thighs which last time they wouldn't go....held my breath...and got them up and zipped and bottom but they were SO tight I couldn't breathe or bend my knees and my muffin top was awful. All I could do was laugh myself. I couldn't bend my knees. So funny. I had to waddle over to the bed and lay down to get them off only to go "AHhhhh" and let oxygen back into my lungs. It was pretty darn funny. But hey, at least I got them up, buttoned and zipped!

I can relate! I have my not so fun sun dress that I (try to) put on when I want to torture mysellf.

At my last sadistic venture, I managed to pull the dang thing over my chest, and on to my body. Which I thought was an accomplishment, until I looked in the mirror and caught myself red handed in a crime against fashion. Poor dress, it was never designed to go through what I did to it.

It was bad. Uber, uber small. Suctioned tight around the behind, which drew what should have been at the knees up to the thigs.

Trust me, this was not a pretty picture. Nothing about this dress was working with me. I'm surprised I didn't burst any seems.

Not only that, I thought I might have to cut the thing off of me, as whatever geometrical angles I played to manuever it on no longer seemed to work when trying to get it off. Always a good time!

Taylor86 06-27-2008 10:48 PM

Silver Ah, that made laugh. Poor dress, lol! Ah, I think all of us have a piece of clothing we like to put on when we feel sadistic toward ourselves and a piece of clothing. It was probably a good work out trying to get it off, though. Waddling without bending my knees probably burned some off the fat off my butt! (Hey! A girl can dream, right?)

On the other hand I have enough calories tonight after dinner to try my new weight watchers mocha latte 90 calorie fudge bars! I will give results after I have tried it! (And for those following weight watchers they are one point!)

HardCandy 06-27-2008 11:14 PM

Tara, that's awesome!! Fitting into clothes that used to be super tight is a great feeling!

Silver, ahaha. This just reminds of the many many times I've squeezed into clothes mainly and felt like a circus clown trying to get them off. LOL. I must've looked a sight. Hopping about and cursing. :X

Taylor, those sound sooooo good. I'm drooling thinking about em. Haha. My snack of choice is usually Sugar Free Jello.. which is great but FUDGE. I am a chocolate addict. I usually steer clear of it period because it makes me want more and more and more.

Anddddd, I fit into a size 12 pair of jeans today !!! I have been waiting to fit into them since the Christmas before last. Haha. Who cares how long it takes right?? I'm there NOW. Finallllllllly. It was spectacular. I don't want to take them off.

Wanted to report on my eating out today. Lunch went well I got a greek salad, only used maybe a tablespoon of dressing and half a piece of pita bread, and it didn't have much feta. So not bad at all. My roommates mom made lamb and beef gyros. I had one piece of pita bread, some of the gyro meat, lots of tomatos (grown in cananda) and a tablespoon of cucumber sauce. I also at a large salad with very little dressing, a little bit of the rice, and a bunch of brocoli. Overall I don't think I did too too bad. I definently could have done worse. There was pasta on the table that I didn't touch (dressed in tons of EVOO) and everyone else had mutiple helpings of the gyro meat whereas I had one small piece.

remember Good job! WOW! After all was said and done that must have felt really good not to have had several servings. I don't think I could have passed up that pasta! :cheer: :woohoo: :cheer: and I also think you deserve a dancing veggie! :broc:

Hardcandy Yay for size 12 jeans!! And it totally doesn't matter how long it took! That is so awesome and I am really happy for you!!!:congrat: and a dancing veggie for good measure! :carrot:

My cousin called me and said that I need to go bra shopping (and god do I ever need new bras!!) She wanted to do a "lingerie and lunch" date with me....and I called and said I was busy until after lunch and want to do a "starbucks and lingerie" date so I could avoid eating out. I know that one day I will be able to eat out and keep to better options but right now I am still pretty darn weak when it comes to eating out. I haven't heard back from her, but I really hope she will go for the starbucks instead of lunch. She is also about 5'11 and 140lbs and can eat huge bowls of pasta and not gain an ounce and I would rather not put myself through watching that. (I am the total weirdo when it comes to weight in my family)

Anyway I tried my mocha latte fudge bars from weight watchers and WOW! I really liked them. It tasted like I had a frappacino on a stick for only 90 calories!

RememberHowToSmile 06-28-2008 02:38 PM

Taylor hope you bra shopping and coffee goes well.

As for me my sister called me frantically and asked if I would go to a party with her and her boyfriend tonight because she's mad a him. I know it sounds a little weird, I'm a little suspicous. We'll see if she has another motive. Hopefully it goes well.

Taylor86 06-28-2008 06:56 PM

Ugh! I hate shopping. I went today with my cousin who is a tiny and loves to shop. All she kept saying is "If I just loose another 10 pounds I would look super cute in this..." and in my head I am like "yeah, and I gotta loose 100 to even look in this store..."

I got some good bras though. Looking at myself in a full length mirror without a shirt all day doesn't make me feel the best....so then I bought some makeup and perfume at target. I also got some workout pants and a kitchen scale, too.

I hate the mall....

On the bright side....I re-counted on my daily plate and as of today it has been 9 days staying within or below my calorie count AND I have kept my goal of going to the gym 4 days a week for 2 weeks which means I have worked out 16 out of 28 days so far in June and that is the best I ever done...ever.

skinnybeach 06-28-2008 10:57 PM

i ate over my calories today and splurged on a night out for mexican and enjoyed it! Now i have heartburn but oh well; live and learn. I am going to be way under tomorrow (usually am on Sundays) and i've been under all week, so i think i'm fine!!!

RememberHowToSmile 06-29-2008 06:34 PM

Oh man did yesterday not turn out as planned. I ended up going to a beer pong party with my sister (who is pregnant and can't drink but had to go to her friends birthday). Lets just say I drank too much Malibu, I ate a slice of pizza, and a ton of chips and salsa. I'm not even going to try and figure out how many calories I ate. At least I did 80 minutes in the gym earlier in the day. Oh well I guess there is nothing I can do now. I had a good time.

Taylor - I totally know what you mean, my sister, I love her dearly, was a 4-6 in high school and finally now is like 8-10. Well she's pregnant and about my size, and keeps complaining on how fat she is. She's only 3 months pregnant so this is going to just keep going on until December.

Skinny - I totally understand the heart burn, I have terrible acid reflux, but after, drinking, chips and salsa, and pizza last night my throat felt terrible this morning.

Taylor86 06-29-2008 06:46 PM

remember Just one slice? I think that is a victory! When I have been drinking all my thought about food goes out the window I would have eaten a WHOLE pizza. And beer pong burns calories, right?

So yesterday at the mall I fell totally and completely in love with a duvet cover from anthropolgie (sp?) The boy told his mom (who still lives in the UK) about my love affair with this duvet and she offered to buy it for me for my birthday. I was thrilled and very thankful. So we go and buy it today and it was way too big and they only sell the duvet in queen and king. Sad Taylor. The boy and I went to several different stores to day to find another duvet cover and no one had any I liked. That's my story.

I am now gonna eat an artichoke to make myself feel better.

RememberHowToSmile 06-29-2008 06:49 PM

Taylor - Yes just one slice, so it could have been worse. Also I did degrease it before I ate it and there was a lot of chasing after the balls because we were drunk and had bad aim.

MaNdA22 06-29-2008 06:53 PM

I miss pizza. My family ordered like 3 pies friday night and were chowing down on them while I ate blueberries....grrr
