Default Biggest Loser competition...

My gym (which is also my work) is having a biggest loser competition. I'm thinking about joining. I have to find out if I'm able to first. I don't know if they will let me since I work there, but I don't see why not. It is $25 to register and the winner gets an hour massage and the runner up gets a spa package or something like that. What do you think? Think I should give it a try? I think this would be great motivation.

Sounds like a great idea, at least to me. I would go for it!

They're doing that at my work...only they want $75 to sign up. But the winner does get $1,000 though!

Definitely check it out! I signed up for something like this at my work too! I think it will be great motivation, and now my "secret" is out to all my coworkers. We only have to pay $10 to join, and everybody gets something if they follow through with the whole 16 weeks. I'm really excited and think it will be more motivation-four people will win a $500 piece of exercise equipment of their choice!

That sounds like a fabulous idea to me! If I had something like that, I'd be all over it. That kind of thing is amazing motivation!

I'd join. It sounds like great motivation.

My gym is doing a Poker Power workout challenge. You track your work outs and you get hands and compete against others. There's gift certificates and massage packages for the winners. i'm debating about joining.

Where I worked decided to do the Biggest Loser and to begin with it sounded like a good idea because they were going to do it by body fat. But then something happened and now they're doing it by weight. Even though I'm bigger and I could actually use that to my advantage (they're not making groups or anything)I decided that it was wrong. It didn't feel right. So a friend and I are doing it amongst each other...because we both have goals for June. We shall see how it goes

Hey, I have a goal for June too! My birthday is June 11th. It was actually just an arbitrary date choice that seemed realistic. Sometime in June. And my birthday seemed to work!

Mine is in June because that's when I'll be going to Chicago. It's just a number though...and I realize it's a little unrealistic, but because of my size totally attainable if I workworkworkwork. :P

I've got a June-ish goal for myself too. I just haven't decided what it is going to be yet. I have to see how much weight I lose this month. My bday is May 31 btw, so that is the reason for the goal.

My work is doing one too. I'm just sooooo scared that someone will find out my weight. I know I have it posted here but nobody I work with even knows about message boards. LOL! The lady doing it isn't as bad as the others but they all have "mouths". Sign up is Tuesday the 15th and it's $10 for me. They are splitting them in teams of 4 and the winning team gets the money to split. I'm still on the fence. It would be good motivation but then again, someone will know what I weigh!

Good luck to all of those doing it!

Psh, your weight isn't that bad. You're my height, and I was/am about where you are, and I know it's a bit of a panicky number, especially if you aren't normally as heavy, but I hope people at your work would be respectful whether they knew the number or not!
