Just curious...

  • So...last week I worked out for like an hour everday, watched what I ate and I gained weight. This week, I didnt even think about excercising, ate the same stuff and lost weight. How is this possible? I'm mean i'm not complaining but I was just curious if anyone knows what may have caused this.

    Thanks!
  • Did you just start a new workout routine? sometimes that'll throw your body out of whack for a bit, your body might be retaining water.
  • Were you sore last week?

I find that muscle soreness after a workout = extra water weight. The soreness goes, and so does the water. So if that hour a day was making you sore, it might have been the cause.

Otherwise our bodies can just be weird.
  • Also your body doesn't lose weight on a perfect timeline...the weight you lost the second week is probably because of the work you did the first week. You don't always see immediate results.
  • Also, it could be due to your menstral cycle if you had your period last week or since then. Most women gain a few lbs of water during that then drop it just as quickly.
  • wre you eating a lot of fiber this week? it's something we really dont pay much attention to, but it accounts for a lot..eating a bowl of all-bran sometime durring the day will help you keep your weight from fluctuating wildly.
  • Yep, there are a thousand reasons why you still lost weight. But, like you mentioned, I would just take it and be happy, nevermind the reason!!
