I think I weight in to much. I weigh myself nearly everyday. One of the maintainers recommended weighing in everyday to see the number on the scale so you won't be tempted to fall off track. However, weighing in at scheduled time intervals provides the element of surprise. Which method works best for you all?
I weigh myself every single morning. Nothing makes me stay on plan better than knowing that I have to face that number on the scale in the morning if I don't eat well today.
I weigh in every morning as well. I wake up and look forward to stepping on the scale, even if it might not always show a loss. It really helps to keep me on track everyday.
I weight at noon every weekday, before my workout. I'm always a bit nervous about weighing in on Monday after two days without it. The scale is a bit like my security blanket, I think!
I weigh once a week. I am a bit of a scale junkie and had to stop weighing myself everyday. However, when I reach maintenance I will weigh daily again.
Judging from the responses I guess I don't weigh myself too often. I like what some of you ladies are doing, weighing everyday but only recording the weekly weight.
I weigh myself multiple times a day, but from a rational standpoint, I'd suggest just weighing once. - weighing in the morning is a good idea, because that is your true weight. I unfortunately weigh every time I walk in the bathroom... haha!
I weigh myself all the time. I like to do it first thing in the morning to see my "true" weight. Then if it's a weekday I head straight for the scale when I get home from work. I like to see what the change is. Then I weigh myself before bed too. I sometimes jump on in between these times too. I don't let it rule my life so it's no big issue.
I write my morning weight in a notebook everyday but only "count" a weight after I've seen it 2 days in a row. I also measure once a week on Sundays to see how many inches I've lost.
I'll admit that when I'm majorly "in the zone" I'll weigh a bunch of times a day. I don't really know why, but sometimes when I'm in the bathroom anyway I just can't help myself. I don't take the crazy numbers seriously though, unless I see one I really hate. I found myself on the scale (after dinner no less) a few days ago and got 170! I gave it the finger and left.
It's all about mornings for me.
When I was losing I didn't have a scale. I was able to weigh only every 2-3 weeks. I liked that method because I would see the "big" numbers. However, this is all dependent on your level of commitment. If you are steadily losing it can be a good way to go. If you are a 2 steps foward, 1 step back type of person, this can be tricky.
Now that I maintain, it is necessary for me to weigh in usually every morning. I find that I very easily lose track without that measure.
