Lastnight I went through all my clean clothes and put up the ones that are loose on me. I wasent sure if I should have done that or not, but I know its going to keep me motivated to loosing more weight! There were a few pair of pants im going to miss....but I'll get over it! lol.

I love it when clothes start to get too big! It's proof that's tangible and obvious. I also will miss some things (right now I'm wearing a fantastic skirt that is just getting a little too loose in the waist and I will soon have to give up) but I feel better when I can go shopping every now and then and pick up a new item that I love!

Joanne,

Congrats to you on the getting rid of the clothes. That takes so much will power, way to go you! I still have that pair of pants that is too huge and I can't bear to part with.

I don't really have too many loose clothes to my knowledge- though I've been home for 3 weeks and been hardcore on South Beach the entire time and since there's nothing to do at home, I just wear PJs! When I get back to my apartment tomorrow I'll have to try on everything to see how things are fitting differently!

However a really great feeling is to be able to fit into old clothes. I'm cleaning out my room because my family is moving before I come back to this house for winter break, and a lot of my early high school clothes are fitting! I've basically maintained the same weight-ish for 3 years- junior year of high school until now. I just tried on my 9th grade band banquet dress (which was just too cute for me to ever give up when I got too big for it!) and my arms fit! It's a long sleeve dress and my arms used to make horrible stretching and tearing noises when I tried to force them in, but now they just slip on! That's great to me because my arms are what I'm most self conscious about because I have the arms of a 400 pound woman on the body of a 220 pound woman! Even though I can't see the difference there, obviously since I can fit into the dress it's working!

can i tell you i did the same thing on friday night. i was looking for something to wear for a birthday party i was going to and decided to try on my clothes that were in the back of my closet. everthing i tried on turned out to be too big. i held on to this too cute skirt for 5 years hoping that it would fit, way too tight, and i tried it on and it fell off. way too big now also i tried on a prom dress, 11 years ago i wore it, size 12, and it fit!!!!! i was so excited it is such a good feeling. i can't wait to go shopping. at the birthday party i was told that i was getting too thin. whatever that means.

Congrats on the loose clothes! It is indeed the best feeling ever. A few of my pants have gotten loose to the point that a good tug on them will make them slide right off. I can't wait to fit into my high school clothes again. I refused to part with those size 16 jeans and shirts. It will be so lovely! The best part will be when they're too loose.

The loose clothes thing is starting to be a real problem. Up until now I was simply moving backwards in time, wearing older clothes from before my most recent weight gain. But I'm beginning to run low on clothes. All my pants need a belt and I only have two skirts that fit. Pretty soon I'm going to be moving into uncharted territories: Size 10! But I want to wait a little longer to buy a whole new wardrobe. (I bought pants out of desperation in March and they already are too loose). Until then it's all about belts and raiding my mother's closet.
