    This is the longest I have gone without smoking since I was 16 years old!!

  • Yes, I am! I mean, honestly...On Melody's birthday I had ONE puff when we were drinking and it was NASTY. Other than that I am doing great. I have a small craving here and there, but that's it.

    I stopped posting days, etc...because people weren't writing. And I didn't want to spam the board. lol. :P
  • Oh, and I am gaining weight...it seems. Ppl are saying I'm losing weight, but I feel like I'm gaining. The scale is saying that I am gaining, but then again I feel kind of that thin feeling...and then I feel like I'm gaining. lmao. I dunno. You know what I mean? =/
  • I'm scared to hop on the scale. lol. I don't really want to update my info on here either. It's sad.

    The other thing... yeah, I do know what you mean! It is ok to go up a few lbs. when quitting (far as I know, and from my own experience, that's normal), but just keep it in check. I haven't been doing too great with food/exercise the last couple weeks, so I have been avoiding the scale. I forced myself to get on this week and just see where I am. It actually helped me to see that it wasn't too bad, but I had gained about 2-3 lbs. You might have to bite the bullet and just weigh and go from there.

  • I weighed, and I think my scale is broken. lmao. There's no way that I could have gained THAT much. I'm embarrassed to even say it. ;X YIKES!

  • Way to go Muzikjunky!!! You will be my inspiration. I am on Day 1 of the third time I have tried to stop smoking. I am in AGONY. I WANT TO SMOKE SO BAD RIGHT NOW. Please tell me it will get better. It's always so much worse for me after meals. I smoked a little in highschool, but really picked it up once I started college (that's how us art majors make friends lol) I would only smoke maybe 5 a day..But I have realized I am smoking more than half a pack a day now!! That is totally unacceptable to me. Interesting sidenote **I have had two doctors tell me that smoking 5 or less cigarettes a day most likely won't hurt you, that it is equal to the polution you would inhale in a day anyway. One of these doctors smoked, one didn't.**

    I don't know if I just want to wean myself back down to 3-5 a day, or totally quit. I have noticed changes in my breathing and amount of coughing now that I smoke so much. I am bad about smoking more when I am bored or when I am on a long drive. I am scared that if I have them around me at all I would relapse into smoking so much again, so that's why I think I want to quit entirely.
