walking

  • I loove walking, I think its one of the best exercises there is. I do the walk away the pounds videos, plus I go to our YMCA and walk around there track, and sometimes I take my son tot he park let him play for a few minutes and then I walk around the park tracks for about an hour or so...Im a big fan of walking. Anyone else choose to walk as an exercise more then any other?

    I have no desire to join a gym (well, not now anyway, never say never and all that!) and while I still have to drag myself out some (most!) days, when I walk I feel soooo good!

    My biggest surprise was discovering that walking works my upper arms - I so did NOT expect that!

  • I walk as well. With music or without it's great!

    I do a morning workout and then sometimes I go for an evening walk. I find it quite relaxing and you can do it anywhere!
  • I dont have a car so I have to walk everywhere anyway! I don't ususally feel very energised or exercised when I do go for a walk, any idea what I'm doing wrong? Maybe not walking fast enough?
  • I very much enjoy walking. Over the past year I have even taken up running. There is nothing else, besides walking and running OUTSIDE, that is as stress relieving for me! I LOVE IT!
  • I have a dog so I have to go on lots of walks!
    I love it though - It relaxes me at the end of the day.
    Especially now that it's spring - so nice to be outside!

    Its about the only thing I like to do, I have a recumbent bike but its BORING! I want a treadmill for xmas lol so I can walk when the weather is crappy!

    I try and go for 20 min to an hour every day depending on my route.

    And I need to have music, I find I pick up my pace when I have a beat to walk too.

  • Walking is my obsession!
    I have a lot of lower back issues/pain with work and walking is the #1 thing for it. I walked 7.5 miles yesterday and 4 today! I used to walk like 10 per day when I first hurt by back a few years ago...walking is the best!
