Default Plateau

Hey everyone. I have hit a weight loss plateau and was wondering if you could all tell me what helps you over the edge and back to loosing. I KNOW that I need to step up my exercise, but its WINTER still in Maine and cold out! And, as I am the stereotypical poor college student a gym membership is outta the question. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I agree, find out if your school has a gym that you can use. I think most do and don't be afraid to take advantage of it. Also, I would recommend counting your calories if you aren't already doing that and if you think you can reduce your calories without dropping below 1200 you can try that route. Also, if you don't have any hand weights at home you can buy some for pretty cheap and do weight training on your own at home that will definitely boost your metabolism. Good luck!

Also if you already count calories and keep them around 1200 you might want to try and boost them up to the like 1400 calories for a week and then drop it back down. Sometimes you body comes too efficient!

I agree with RememberHowToSmile, if you already have your calories down around 1200, your body may have gone into starvation mode, so zig zagging your calories might be worth it.

What about some workout videos instead of a gym membership?
