Smile Clean out your purse and wallet

Any time you feel sad, stressed out, frazzled, overwhelmed....

Clean out your purse/wallet.

This simple trick is so powerful. You will feel so much better afterwards.

And it will probably spur you on to clean up other areas. Hey, even if it doesn't...you will feel a lot better.

You cannot let the new come into your life if the old is still there. It needs to go. It needs to go!

If you look around and see something that you are not using, no longer like, can't figure out what to do with it...when in doubt, throw it out. GET RID OF IT. If it does not fit the vision you have for yourself and your life...Give it away, recycle it, whatever....just get it out of there.

Start with your purse and wallet.

Let me know how it goes.

Thumbs up Hey nineteen

I hope I don't get shot for posting here right now since I have left "20-Something" behind me a while ago. But I happened to come across your thread.

Great idea, I am going to clean out my purse right now. You are right it always makes me feel better and lighter too!

Now if you can just come over to my house and encourage me to get rid of some of my clutter too! I try to get rid of it, but it just is overwhelming sometimes. You should get on to one of these "Clean House" type of shows -- you are motivating.

Thanks, Pookie

P.S. Congrats on your weight loss. So close to goal !

Thank you so much.

I get really overwhelmed by cleaning, too.

If you find a really small, isolated area that is messy and bothering you...JUST clean that. That is what I am trying to do. For example, just clean your nightstand. Or...just clean out one drawer. Find one small area and just zoom in on that.

Hmmmm.......you may have just saved my diet for the day.

It is a "tapeworm day" where i am hungry and lazy and may end up at the bar. BUT- now all of a sudden i feel the need to start my spring cleaning, and do some straightening up.

thanks for the kick in the pants!

I need to clean my purse today. I started this past weekend with my renovations and I cleaned a washed my car. It was nasty. Plus all the candy wrappers and junk I found under the seats and stuff. It feels so much better getting in my car now.

I find organizing anything is a good distraction-- I can sit on the kitchen floor organizing tupperware forever! Cleaning closets, too.

Love this idea! I've been meaning to clean out my four desk drawers, but they are SOOOOOOO messy that its a real chore. After reading this, I realized that even cleaning one would be better than none!! Turns out I just cleaned out 2

I feel great now!!! Thank you for this wonderful reminder!

Ok, apparently I took this a little too literally! Cleaned out my wallet, and forgot to put my cash back in - thank goodness a co-worker was able to loan me some cash for lunch today!

It's the bathroom for me....followed by a nice hot bubble bath.

Ohhhh now a bubble bath DOES sound nice. Unfortantely, I am renting a cheap house while in college and all I have is a FREAKING shower.

You know, right now it's the opposite for me: I would kill for a nice shower! I brought a shower curtain to take my first shower in my new place and discovered that not only is my shower stream weak, but the stupid curtain requires a liner! Water everywhere. It would have been nice if they had said that on the package like all the other shower curtains.
