Question Food for Cheat Days?

What kind of foods do ya'll consider a cheat day food. We usually have a TV party every Sunday (which is my somewhat cheat day), and we have a fruit tray, veggie tray, meat tray..usually with pep., sal., and cheese...and usually someone brings something sweet..and I haven't drank regular soda's since 2003..so it's always diet pepsi..lately caffeine free.

I wanted to bring this up now so I can get some ideas of what is bad, or good..or what not before Sunday. I did great the first & second week, and didn't eat much...but lately I have been eating a bit more than I should..even though I stay in my calorie zone for the day.

Ideas would be great of what I could have just for myself...even though I would have to have really good self control. Which I am not great at.

Thanks in advance!

my "cheat days", which usually coincide w/my "horrible PMS days", I let myself have a 60 cal Hershey's dark chocolate stick.. I suck down Cherry Coke Zero like it's water (bad bad BADDDD), and I have discovered these Reese's snack bites things that are like a chocolate lover's trail mix and they're 100 cals.. it's crazy good! also, Totino's makes lower-cal pizza rolls, which are great tasting and pretty filling.

I actually fell off the wagon this week and had my first piece of pizza in months.. a word of caution: if your body has not had pizza in a while and you eat two pieces, prepare to pray to the porcelain god

Honestly I don't have a "cheat" day.. I eat whatever I want...but in moderation instead of binging on bad foods like I use to...

Sunday really isn't a 'cheat' day for me, I eat properly during the day..but around 8:00-10:00 we have the TV party..and I consider that my 'cheat' time...I eat just a bit of the things we have there...but I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas of foods that I can have or make to have there that's healthy..and won't make me think on Monday morning.."OH man..What have I done!"

muzikjunky, it's really hard for me to say because at events like ball parties I always end up eating way too much anyway. I could make a few suggestions: make sure that you've eaten a proper dinner so that you're not ravenous for your TV party. Decide what you'll eat ahead of time - fruit or veggies or whatever. If there's fruit dip or salad dressing, know the calories ahead of time. Know what one serving of cheese or salami or whatever you decide you can have looks like, and how many calories/fat/etc. it has. Get a small plate and put what you'll be having on it, and walk away from the tray (you don't know how many times I wish I had a loud voice behind me going "walk away from the tray"). Having a plate will help you portion control much better. Have fun!
