MuzikGreat job on the 2nd round on the treadmill in a day! That's great!! I wish I would do it twice in a day.. i can't seem to drag myself outta bed!

I go tomorrow to meet with the personal trainer.. can't wait! Hoping we can start on Thursday night.. I got my key to the fitness center today!

Well, I didn't do so well with the white food avoidance today :(
I had a piece of toast with breakfast... oops! I promise, strictly oatmeal tomorrow morning.

Our gym is having a contest, they're calling it "The Biggest Winner (of weight loss)" So I joined a team today so we'll see how that works out.... I just hope I don't have to tell my weight to the whole office...

Brooke- your feet will get used to it soon! You'll get to the point where you miss working out when you can't do it!!! :)

Steph- I wish I could do frozen lunches. I've gotten sick from eating Lean Cuisines, so I don't feel like I can touch them anymore...

Michelle- I bought whole wheat bread and whole wheat pita chips yesterday, so I will try taking it to work tomorrow. good idea!

hi all!
i am soo fed up with everything having to do with diet/exercise this week, and it's really putting me in a bad mood, which i hate. i have been running every day and eating well (i haven't had any dessert and only one latte since monday morning - a major accomplishment for me). i haven't gotten cookies from the cafeteria or anything out of the vending machine. but i still am weighing in at 145.5!! i am mad that i am always traveling for work so only have limited control of what foods i eat (i have to eat out at restaurants every day for every meal) and i am just sick of all of this effort for what seems like no reward! i just keep reminding myself how good i feel when i eat right, and hope that the weight will come off at some point. today i feel especially huge..my pants are tight and everything seems too small :(

amber - the personal trainer sounds awesome! i loved having one because they would get me to do stuff i hadn't tried before, which always made my muscles very sore!

illini - i would definitely recommend that whole wheat bread so you can still have toast in the mornings! my favorite is alvarado street california crunch..lots of fiber and protein, and delicious with peanut butter :)

Illini - I got that way before where I missed exercising, and I "HAD" to have it. I am sure I will get to that point again. I can't remember how long it took before though. :)

Amber - I don't know if there's a such thing as making up for exercise that you miss on the days you were too lazy to do anything..lol..but that's what I was doing yesterday. Trying to make 30 minutes that I missed. I am quite behind on my exercise ticker, and I am just trying to catch up. :)

I forced myself up this morning, and worked out in the treadmill for 30 minutes. A couple of times I picked the speed up and jogged a bit. It seemed that the time just flew by, and I think it's getting easier now. I just hope that my mind or body become bored with it because I am not so good with video tapes, and I just can't afford to go back to Curves right now with my financial situation.

I went to Wal-Mart last night, and bought some Whey Chocolate Protein powder. For one scoop it has 110 calories, 14 from fat, 2g of fat, 2g carbs, and 23 whopping grams of protein! I was amazing when I read it. LOL. I mixed one of the scoops with a cup of Silk Vanilla Soy Milk, and it was delicious. Also had a banana...about to go fix lunch here in a few. Still thinking if I should do the 3 meals a day, or the 5 small meals. I think I am going to try the 5 small meals today. :)

I am doing great with my calorie counting today. The best day since I started, at least I think so. I have had just about the same amount of Protein as I have of Carbs. 425 calories so far, and that's two meals. :)

I just had 1/4 of a cup Tuna in water (60 cals), 2 thin slices of onion cut up (7 cals), and a tablespoon of sweet relish (15 cals) mixed together. And a piece of whole wheat bread with is 40 calories a slice.

And I have had 2 cups of water. I think 16fl? I dunno, How much water should I have daily? I love water, but don't know how much to drink. Maybe I already am drinking the amount I should be. Who knows.

Well, have to go take my Great Aunt to the store/bank. See ya'll later. :)

Great job today Muzik! I think they say 80oz of water a day is a good amount. Some days i drink around 120oz.. Depends on the day.. that's pretty much all i drink though.. 1 cup of coffee in the morning and the rest is water all day.

I've also heard 1/2 of your body weight in water a day.. I dunno which is accurate.. I still believe the 8 8oz glasses of water..which equals to 64oz a day.

Well! I already drink just about that much in a day. I'm like you on that, I drink something like coffee or lite orange juice for breakfast, and water for the rest of the day. Sometimes some V8 for dinner, but usually I drink water. Maybe I should add 2 extra glasses of water a day to what I already drink just to be sure. :)

morning ladies

yes, i have been lurking mainly because i had nothing to say. today however, i have broken through some of my internal walls and am coming into the light. i was wallowing in my own negativity for a while.

i am going to start owning this weight and treat myself the way i deserve to be treated. i wrote a massive thing about it on my blog so feel free to dive into it more over there.

anyway, i am here and am looking forward to catching up with you all including all the newbies i can see ;)

muzikjunky - not sure if we have met :wave: hello. i have read that you should have 1 liter of water for each 30kg/66lbs of your body weight for optimum hydration. more if you are exercising and more if it is hot weather.

dreamer - you and me can start the lurkers club. glad to see you around. is that jen aniston in your avatar?

michelle - stick in there. it will all come together. we all have bad days and it sounds like yours all came at one time.

stephie - hey girl! you are too good! hubby won't recognise you with your schedules missing each other and you kicking your own butt at the gym.

Well, met with my personal trainer tonight. We decided to meet at 430am tomorrow morning for a first workout.. OMG!!! That's sooooooooo early! LOL I will get out of bed... I will get out of bed.. Just the motivation I needed!!

We'll see how bad she kicks my arse.. lol I have a bad habit of skipping breakfast, no time to eat.. she said i HAVE to eat breakfast..it's my first challenge.... i think i'll eat tomorrow .. i'll have plenty of time before work seeing how i'm getting around at 430am .. workout until 530am.. i'll have a good half hour to myself in the morning.. I won't know what to do with myself.

Well i got up & to the gym at 430am! OMG my trainer kicked my ***!! I have jelly arms! lol It was fun though.. I feel great this morning.. I might have to get up & go at 430 more often!

daisy, it's good to see you back! we missed you :)
yesterday was kind of a bum day for me...i got up this morning at worked out even though i went to bed pretty late last night and it was fantastic. i swear, i could just spend my life on a treadmill! ;) i did realize while i was running how much healthier i have been the past two weeks, even if i'm not losing weight. i haven't binged since the new year, i've been trying new foods without overdoing it, and i have been feeling full but not stuffed almost all of the time. last night when i got back from dinner i was pretty full but craving something sweet..so i went down to the little convenience store and bought a candy bar. BUT i only had about 1/4 of it, when on other occasions i would have eaten the entire thing. a moral victory, for sure!!

Bah, so many posts.. can't keep up! ;)

I've also been lurking the last few days.. it seems like I hit my halfway point and sort of got lax, which is NOT acceptable. After a night of drinking with DB (I know Liz.. now I really am done drinking for at least a month, I promise! hehe) and some poor eating over the weekend, my weekly weigh-in actually said 187! I know a lot of that was water, but still! So I've been trying to get myself on track all this week. Last night I told myself sternly that I got to this point by doing it, not trying to do it, so that is what I will continue to do. So after typing this and logging my food, I am going to go do my cardio.

Darn you fat.. i will vanquish you yet!

I'd give you all individual replies but.. bah! So much conversation, cannot keep up! *hugs* Just know I think you all are amazing!
