Intro
Hi, I'm new to this website and returning to Atkins for about the third time. I've had some success with Atkins, but I can never stick long term. I always cave to the pressure to eat like everyone else. But I know I can lose on this plan so this time, I'm gonna do it!
I've been posting on a Weight Watchers Forum for years, and straying on and off the WW Core plan. I was never any good at counting points. That forum has been great, but they really don't get Atkins, so I thought I would try to make some new friends here.
This is day two for me, but I haven't actually weighed in. I know that's kind of stupid, but I'm just back from a really great vacation with lots of food and drink and can't zip some of my pants so I know the scale will be very bad news. I like to WI early in the morning and I keep forgetting!
My strategy this time is to bring my food where ever I go. I actually packed three meals in my little lunch box this morning (it's gonna be a long day). I'm also promising myself that I'll watch how much cheese I eat. I think in the past I've overdone it. Hopefully, it'll be easier to stay OP if I make it simple, so I'm going with one salad a day, and meat. Cheese as an accent, not a main course.
So far I haven't given up caffeine. I have a crazy schedule and there are days when I really, really need some caffeine. I thought I would do induction for a week and "break" the carb addictions and get used to no alcohol and think some more about the caffeine. I drink 2-3 cups of coffee and one diet coke a day - usually.
If I can get myself organized, I'll join the Friday Weigh In thread. I'll just have to remember to WI on Fridays.
