Hi Chris,
If you haven't, read this thread about the program:
http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=104658. It will answer a lot of your questions.
I paid about $750 to lose 73 lbs. I had a coupon to lose all the weight I wanted for the price of 15 lbs. though. Also, I do not do the bars or supplements which greatly add to the expense. I simply informed them I was soy intolerant and had IBS when I went in for my initial consultation. I am on an all food plan and it is working really well for me.
I am also a refuge of WW. I have lost weight successfully on their plan 2 times but the last time it just did not work for me. Unfortunately, I think the point system has become to lax for me and I need more structure. Of course, with WW, you can pay as you go so you don't really realize the amount of money you are investing over time. With LAWL, you do pay the cost upfront. So, there can be some sticker shock. However, I think that in the long run, the cost is comperable.
Either way, can you really put a value on your health and self-esteem? That is what it came down to for me and I decided I was worth every penny of my investment.
Good luck on whatever path you choose. And, if you end up doing LAWL, remember this forum is a great source of support and encouragement. Not to mention laughs.
