I'm a believer in healthy fats - 10 grams a day isn't very much. I try to get at least 20-25% of my daily calories from healthy fats - nuts, nut butters, olive oil, salmon, avocado. I've never heard of a metabolism getting sluggish due to low fat, but in college, I did a low fat diet and my hair fell out by the handful in the shower. I also didn't have my period that month and I have had very regular cycles my entire life. Obviously, the low fat diet affected me negatively. (different people may have different experiences).
