Default toning you arm and building muscle

What is the best to tone your arm and build muscle at home without involving any workout machine. I don't have pilates or weights either.

Push ups, either beginner or full. You can use items around your house...tin cans, your water bottle full of water, bag of sugar...instead of weights to do bicep curls, tricep kickbacks, overhead press...almost everything.

Pilates is not a thing, it is a series of exercises that do not need *any* equipment. Mat exercises can be done on a towel or just your living room carpet. Most pilates focuses on the core area but there are definately moves that work the arms. You can look these up online or there are dvd's you can buy for about $10 or under if you want to view it.

Another option is just doing regular dumbell arm workouts with soup cans. You can also do standing pushups if you lean against a wall and push away, do this with hands shoulder width apart, then hands together and then index fingers together and thumbs together forming a diamond to work different parts of your arm and chest muscles.

Happy toning!

I got some 3 pound Danskin workout balls and simply love them! I have been using them only a week and honestly can already feel my arms becoming stronger and feel it is really toning them. And it is so easy... I can lie on my bed and use them while watching TV or listening to the radio.

pushups (on your knees until you get stronger)

tricep dips (sit at the edge of a sturdy chair with your hands on the seat. scoot forward off the chair and lower yourself up and down using your arm muscles).

A small investment in 3 lb, 5 lb and 8 lb dumbbells could prove beneficial for you. You may also find adjustable dumbbells that aren't very expensive.

From the following website: http://www.exrx.net/Lists/Directory.html, you can find an assortment of exercises to use with dumbbells.

Each body area is broken down to include:
Shoulders - http://www.exrx.net/Lists/ExList/ShouldWt.html
Upper Arm - http://www.exrx.net/Lists/ExList/ArmWt.html
Forearm - http://www.exrx.net/Lists/ExList/ForeArmWt.html
Back - http://www.exrx.net/Lists/ExList/BackWt.html
Chest - http://www.exrx.net/Lists/ExList/ChestWt.html

I hope this helps
