I use them once a week - maybe, sometimes once every 2 weeks. Since I am 12 pounds from goal should I not being eating them? I get sooooo sick of chicken/egg beaters/etc. I don't know how much it is affecting me. Of course my center doesn't have an answer - yes, I asked.
Laura - I wouldn't think that at one a week or one every two weeks would make a difference as long as you are drinking your extra water those days. But, I guess maybe try not to have them for a couple of weeks or more and see what happens I think that is the only way you will know for sure.
I use them every once in a while. Probably twice a month or so. I always see a little gain the next morning, but it goes away fast. I like having that option if I need something different.
Well, the book says up to 3x per week. I probably do one/week...maybe even every other week. I do the frozen dinners and lean pockets more often than that, though. I just drink extra water those days and make sure I don't WI the next day...just in case!
I don't remember the last time I used a CC or frozen meal. In the beginning I used them once and awhile but like Katie said, I always had a small gain the next day.
I usually have a CC, which is either pancakes or pizza once a week to once every other week depending how I'm doing. I haven't tried any other CC meal. I rarely eat frozen meals as I don't want to waste my starch & protein by a small meal and there is more sodium in them.
Cheryl- Carb carvers are special meals that you can eat in place of a protein. For example, pizza, french toast, pancakes, a turkey sandwich. When you get your food book they will tell about them. It is just normal food that you make at home, however, not food that you have to buy from your center.
I found the reponses to this thread quite interesting. My book says that I can have up to 1 carb craver each day (I double-checked). I have been using them each day for my sandwich at lunch, but think this may be a reason why I am not losing. I only started using them after one of my counsellors recommended them, but think that I will reduce the number of times/week that I am using them. Hopefully only using them 2-3 times/week vs. 5 currently will help get my body to start losing the weight.
I use carb cravers all the time. I usually do a pizza and a hamburger burger each week. Sometimes I'll split up my pizza serving. I'll have one slice one day and the second another day--lately a Friday because of Lent. I can't see how I'd do without carb cravers. I live for those meals.
