Angry Lost my way....

I am still at my ticker weight but I feel like I have lost my way on the diet and exercise track. I have been busy and finally getting out because the yellow dust finally broke. (I actually had the first mirgraine I have ever had in my life because of it!)

Anyway today is Monday and I want to try to lose ten pounds before June 16th. I can actually see a difference in my body and clothes right now even though my actual pound loss is only about 10 pounds from Jan. 1 but it was encouraging to get on the scale and not see a change in my weight. I have to meet with the trainer today to see about using some of the weight machines and I want to get into the pool more at the gym.

I feel lost ....not sure why I was committed the month of March and April well it just plain stunk after spring break but at least with the exercise I have stayed at the 250 mark.

I guess I need encouragement. Please give me a go girl!! You can do it!!!

DollyR....You can do this. You just have to stick with it....through every plateau. You have done a great job at maintaining.....as long as you don't gain you're doing great. Keep up the good work.

You go girl!!! Congrats on being at your ticker weight!!! You are doing something right! I also have been very busy for the last 10 days - threw a big engagement party yesterday for one of my sisters - so I have not been getting my regular cardio and haven't had time (or drive) to even count calories. Guessing with calories doesn't work for me yet. Anyways, it's all about sticking to it even when we don't feel the fire of motivation. Hope you had fun at the gym and with your trainer today!!

You're not lost, you're just on the edge of the sidewalk, it's just a little leap back on to the road!!! Well done for recognising that your not where you want to be, there quarters of the battle won!!!

You've lost over three times as much weight as I have this year

Darlene, it is good to see you posting again, I was thinking about you the other day. We all go through this once the "honeymoon" glow wears off. Good for you in putting the brakes on and getting back to it. You can do this!

Thanks for the encouragement.

I think I agree with Sarah about speaking in hopes and intentions rather than absolutes....

I know for me personally absolutes make me frustrated. I have had this min goal for so long that I do not think I will ever see it. I think I will start thinking of is as a "hope to be" by June 16th instead of an absolute goal. I feel so much more stress on myself when I have something I "have to have by a certain day" . I guess my personal failure factor kicks when I don't seem to make it.

I am blessed in my profession to be off from work in the summer for long lengths of time....this year it is almost 2 and 1/2 months. I am kicking off the summer with a nice visit from my sister and her husband here in Korea and then a week in Las Vegas. I have some nice outfits for the trip if I can get back into them......sigh. I hope to by then. One good point is some of my late summer clothes from last year are starting to fit perfectly and may be getting too big.

I guess I needed to get it off my chest.
