Default Yucky question---why do we sweat so much

Warmer weather is here and I have read a couple of posts where others are struggling with this. Just trying to put my make-up on the in morning is a battle since sweat is dripping down my face. I get hot and sweaty so fast and easy. Why is this?

Any ideas to make it better (#1 idea-lose weight), but anything in the interim?

Thanks!

In the summer I just turn the air conditioning on when I get up in the morning and turn it off before I go to work. The cost is worth the trade off to not sweat under the hairdryer... Powder helps some, and I find that the more I exercise and the more I lose, the less hot I get.

Sweating is the body's way of trying to cool itself off. No way around it, if it is hot you are going to sweat. Of course the extra weight doesn't help either. I don't wear make-up so I can't help much there. The few times that I have worn full make-up in the summer I completely regretted it because it just made me sweat more I think and I ended up just washing it right off before I started looking scary. I would forgo as much make-up as you can or get the sweat proof/water proof kind.
