You DON'T have to wait 4-5 years to have Walker's crisps or anything else, Ali ~ you can find those things in specialty shops everywhere and even on-line! So next time you decide to scarf a whole box of Thornton's toffee because it may be the last taste for years, remind yourself that it CAN be found in Deadmonton (i.e. the "British Import Store" at West Edmonton Mall). However, once you get back to Canada you'll quickly get back on track and so into health again that you won't even want it! It works, believe me!! ;) So glad you're enjoying your time "back home".
I'm here for a flogging, too. Not because I've been off plan, but for abandoning this thread. Its not that I don't read all your entries and give you cyber :carrot: , :?: , :devil:, :p and :hug: where appropriate, its just that I'm trying a new approach to my journey; one that does not require me to journal every morsel that enters my mouth (as I've done since 2002 :dizzy: ) and puts more of a focus on not making my "diet" an obsession. Who knows, I may start a thread about it. Anyway, please know that I'm popping in daily and cheering you all on! :D |

After another round of stuffing my face yesterday, I've decided that's got to be the last of it. :yes: Now to actually follow through with that resolution....
I'm taking your advice to give myself some relaxing "me time", Denise. So today, I'm going to spend the rest of the morning on my own, doing rubber-stamping and listening to my fave music on my shiny new iPod Nano. Did I mention that hubby :love: bought that for my 40th, and gave me it early? :D A good long walk (braving the gale-force wind and hail/rain :rolleyes: ) this afternoon is on the agenda too. Thanks for the support, Linda. :) Let's see... I have about 3 weeks left here in Orkney, and then it's down to London (and maybe the south coast) for our last 6 or 7 days. I might've known you'd remind me about the import stores, Jilly! :p Now I have no excuse for my bad behaviour! :tantrum: ;) Funny thing is, whenever I visit them, the only things I buy are Extra Strong Mints and Sugar-Free Polos. :chin: Back to the old "if it's available, I don't have to have it right then", I guess. Ali - good to see that you're enjoying your holiday. Looking forward to hearing more about it when you get back (and seeing some more pics too). I've kinda abandoned this thread for the week. My eating has been under control but I've let the exercise go by the wayside for the week. I've been so busy trying to get everything in order for our out-of-town guests that will be arriving tomorrow and packing for the cruise that we leave for on Saturday, that I just haven't been able to find the time to fit it in. So I won't be around much for the rest of the week and I'll be away for the first week of May. Hope everyone has a great week!! ~Dee |
