30 minutes strength training and a 20 minute bike ride. :)

I swum a mile this morning, and had a chat to one of the gym instructors who has convinced me to give weight training a go this afternoon, dodgy ankle or not!

Today was my day off, but I went for a 30 minute walk anyway. :smug:

I kind of fell away from this thread by the end of last week. but im going to get my exercise in today and keep trying to get in the habit of doing this!

Poorly ankle has been to the gym, and we did cardio for 30 minutes split amongst my weights routine. I managed nearly all of it but skipped the lunges (ankle would not have liked them) and skipped the treadmill and did bike instead. I am so glad I did it, and my ankle feels heaps better.

I did an hour of cardio and abs today w/ a little resistance work mixed in. I'm feeling pumped.

I did not meet my goal today. I only walked 1.5 miles but I did rack up lots of leaves. I am glad this stressfull day is over with!

I didn't do my strength training yesterday, but did get in an unscheduled 45 minute walk.
I've had a 40 minute brisk walk this morning and I may be off out again this afternoon. |

Fullfilled my plan for last week. This week so far I have done well too. :D
Monday: 2 mile run; 1 hour Tae Kwon Do class Tuesday: 5K run Wednesday: 5K run; Tae Kwon Do was cancelled due to bad weather. GRRR-STUPID SNOW! Thursday: 5K run Friday: 5K run Saturday: off (Will be working 16 hour day) Sunday: off (another 16 hours of working) |
Yesterday I did the elliptical for an hour and then pilates for an hour.

Great job people! I did 5.5 miles today. 2 mile WATP and 3.5 miles walking around school.

Thursday: Didn't do 5K, instead I ran 1.5 miles as fast as I could. Assuming I have mile mileage measured out correctly, it took me 15 minutes. That would be about a 10 minute mile! I would love to think I can run a 10 minute mile but I'm thinking I may have my mileage measured a bit short. (I have been running on my driveway as DH is gone most of the day and I can't go for a run and leave my 2 1/2 year old alone and I don't have a jogging stoller.) I have a long driveway and it is .1 of a mile from my garage to the road so 15 laps is approximately 1.5 miles.

No exercise for me today. I am taking it easy because of a cold. I have rested all morning and had hot tea and chicken soup for breakfast and lunch.

I did 30 minutes strength training this morning followed by an hour and a half scrubbing down walls at SIL's place. Now I have an aching back. |
Yesterday, Saturday, I did an hour in the pool, no chatting just swimming :) and lots of walking. I have kept out of the gym because the ankle is still not strong enough (have tried once) but will have a go at weights again today.

Sunday I felt better and moved 2.5 miles. Monday I walked 3 miles.

I have been walking and/or swimming while on vacation. But what I wanted to tell you guys is that Hubby got up with me this morning and went swimming at the indoor pool at 6:10. He only lasted 10 minutes to my 30 minutes. Keep moving people.

Workout plan: Go to gym M-F and work out fot 1.5 hours.
This week I went to gym 4 of the 5 days. Thursday and Friday I was finally able to do 25 minutes on elliptical machine. :carrot: |
