Great Michelle!! Two pounds for the week! You are going to meet you mini mini goal in not time. :) :)

barbygirl43 05-12-2004 05:41 PM

Amy Jo--I've been maintaining a week and then losing so yours should come next week.

Diva--That is awesome. You've lost over 80 pounds in just under a year. What an inspiration.

SAPF--don't worry about those 2 pounds. I ditto the others.

Kris--that is great that another 2 pounds gone. I see you're getting close to your goal.

Claire--You may not have eaten enough. I know the week I really worked out every day for at least 30 mins. I gained 3 pounds that week. I wouldn't worry about that one pound, you probably lost inches somewhere.

Slimdown--at least you didn't gain and you didn't drop off from the boards.

Holly. I'm sure one of these weeks your scale is going to read 179 and you're not going to know what to do with yourself.

Lookey there Audrey, you hovered at that 300 mark and now you've surpassed it and almost into the 280s.

Tammy--I'm so sorry to hear you are going through this. Hopefully it will all resolve itself soon. We have to go through some of that with my stepson so PM me if you like.

Michelle--congrats on the 2 pounds. You're just 2 more away from that first 10% woohoo

Hey Tammy, sorry to hear it. Best interests of the child is what I say. If, in 6 years, he hasn't come around at all, the courts will look at that & demand he visit the child in familiar surroundings.

My best friend went thru all this w/her ex. It'll work out. :)

Hey all! Congratulations to all the losers -- GREAT JOB! For the couple of you who either maintained or gained just the teensiest bit, everything can change in a day....you'll see a positive change soon. Just stay the course and remind yourselves of how far you've come!

Welcome, Michelle! Nice to have you join us -- I believe you'll find this group so warm, so welcoming, and so supportive, you'll find it hard not to succeed in meeting your goals! The folks here are just great!

Tammy, you sweetheart, it's all going to work out. I don't have any experience with what you're going through, but I know that it would make no sense to just give the green light to a virtual stranger to remove a child from their home environment for any extended period of time. I can't imagine any judge ok'ing anything that isn't gradual and comfortable for your little girl...and that couldn't possibly involve yanking her out of her home for a summer. I think your fear is totally natural and unavoidable, but that doesn't mean that the feared scenario is realistic. If I were you, I would take barbygirl up on her offer of support, since she's dealing with it....and I would also speak with an attorney, just to ease your mind and make sure you're protected. I'm so sorry you have to go through this; what a nightmare for you. Please know that we're all here for you, and will do anything you need to return just a little bit of the support that you continually give to each of us. Big, big, big hugs to you, hon.....it's all going to be ok. :goodvibes:

WOW! I've been so busy with work and home that I just now getting a chance to really catch up on this thread. So this is going to be a pretty long one...

Sandi - congrats on recommitting. Does this mean I can add you back to the losing a ton thread??? (Please, please, please!)

Gretchen - Congrats on the 2 lb loss!

Amy Jo - a maintain is so much better than a gain! You're doing a great job this year!

Tammy - Congrats on the 2 lb. loss! And I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. Good luck on the visitation issue!

Diva - Congrats on both the graduation and the weight loss. I'd love to add you to the losing a ton thread if you could let me know what the total weight for the year is!

SAPF - You're one of my inspirations! Don't let this small gain get to you, 'cause you'll find that it's gone again soon!

Kris - Congratulations on the loss this week!

Clair - Great attitude, and actually the fact that you've been exercising more probably has contributed to that small gain. So you've probably lost some extra inches!!

Slimdown - Keep at it! I can't stress how much harder it is to maintain than it is to gain. So you're doing something right!!

Holly - Congrats on the 1 lb. loss! I know you'll hit that 180 soon!!

Audry - congrats on the 2 lb loss!

Michelle - Welcome and congrats on the loss this week! You're closing in on your mini goal fast!!

Howie - What can I say but congratulations! As I type this you've probably already made it into Threedom!! Great job!!

I hope I got everyone! As far as my week...I'm down another 2.2 this week which puts my loss so far in 2004 at 49!! My next mini goal is Onederland!

Off ot update the Lose A Ton thread! Hope to see less of all of you next week!

Melissa
