What a sweet surprise to log on and see all your good wishes. We thank you so much, one and all.
Our plans had been to go away overnight on Friday and come back last evening but a very last minute household problem blew that away. I was really disappointed but yesterday's weather turned out to be pretty glum so maybe we had as much fun here.
It's hard to believe it's really been 45 years and, yes, we've had our share of difficult times to deal with. And, for sure, it's taken patience (on both sides) and adjusting and understanding and growing and communicating and all those other things the articles say are important. But I was lucky way back when I was 19 and found a really good guy with bedrock values to start off with. Or maybe I should say he found me as he was looking and I wasn't yet. Whatever, 45 years, 2 kids, 2 grandkids later and I'm just as much in love (or more) than ever.
